    Default custom classics Rotorstorm

Everybody's favourite repaint of Tomahawk. I wanted to get away from the chicken legs so I used a deluxe classic Optimus legs. They don't do any favours for the helicopter mode, but to me it's acceptable and it makes robot mode look much better.
The head is from a robot heroes Shrapnel.

I expect with a bit of tinkering I could make the legs flush with the tail assembly, but I display my TFs primarily in bot mode so it's not high on my to do list.

I want you for the Wreckers....

The head sculpt is pretty good. What do you paint with? Acrylics? The paint always has a matte finish.

Love the head sculpt, how hard was it to get the paint to adhere to the robot heroes plastic?

The mold choice was great, the leg change works well, without really detracting from the helicopter mode. The colours are brilliant, the pink really matches the original and the layers of paint look flawless. I am guessing you used an airbrush for the paint?

I use enamel paint mainly, but use a spray of dullcote or similar when I'm finished.

For the main part painting Robot Heroes is super-easy. There's a thread in here of all my Robot Heroes customs called something like "snaketales smorgasbord"... check it out http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showth...ht=smorgasbord

No airbrushing: I hand-paint my customs.

    Nice work!
Awesome choice with the RH head he's chock full of personality! Much better than the blank stare we get with regular release figures

Damn nice! Are you methodically working your way through the Turbomasters or are you just seeing great molds for them everywhere you look?

Your customs always give me ideas that i never end up attempting.. But still, I am grateful for the ideas
