Thanks guys for the alert and links... I've posted something up on our facebook page as well, to let other people know that they need to chase up chargebacks immediately, if they are still able to.

If life has taught me one thing, it's that judging people without all the facts is a sure way to end up looking like an idiot. But damned if I don't feel some satisfaction creeping in the back of my brain at the thought of this tool having to face some consequences.

So he came to the table and refunded you? Great job. Haven't heard many success stories like that. They're usually chargebacks.

Can they make sell his assets if they can prove they were bought through the proceeds of his failed business?

I got my charge back early last year but I'm constantly surprised at how Australian state or federal law can't really do anything to penalise this guy or force him to cough up and refund. I mean for all the customer protection law that's out there does this sham not fall under any of them with the recourse for penalties? It's been a lot of effort from a lot of affected parties to get this far and there's only a state warning?

Don't get me wrong, it's a great success but still not what's deserved and should be coming to Scott.

He's either really smart to have figured it out or just dumb luck at everyone else's expense.

This is possible if someone ends up bankrupting him. A bankruptcy trustee can take possession and sell certain assets to try recover funds for creditors.

Shouldn't Mr Dwyer be given a 2nd chance?

*blows dust off*

Shouldn't Mr Dwyer be given a 22nd chance?

*blows more dust off*

Shouldn't Mr Dwyer be given a 222nd chance?

*huff & puff*

Shouldn't Mr Dwyer be given an 2,222nd chance?
