Just got mine today, this is up there with the all time greats, I'm going to say better than Titan Metroplex, yes different type of figure I know. Value for money is off the chart!!
I don't want to get into a whole scale arguement as tends to happen with the MP stuff, but he fits nicely in with MP1 and 5 imho.

I'm pleased for everyone that has the Hasbro Soundwave.

    Congrats guys! He is awesome

For me, I am really happy with my Takara version and I am not upset that I missed out on the Hasbro version and for me to miss out on a Transformer I am usually not happy and given that I have 1600+ figures I usually don't miss out on much

Plus I have also pre-ordered Soundblaster and Ratbat

oh well, If it's this common, I'm not going to try to have mine replaced. I may have a go at fixing it myself down the track. the rest of the toy is magnificent.

    except laserbeaks forehead camera.

how far does the camera pop out or up? I can't seem to raise it very high compared to the instruction sheet pic.

Here are the differences between the Hasbro and TakTOM versions according to TFwiki. TFwiki has this information spread across different pages (for each character's relevant toy page), so I thought I'd just collate and put them here for easy/quick reference.

    * Different packaging (Thrilling 30) and instructions. Instructions do not explain any of the accessories, action or interactive features w/ cassettes.
    * Soundwave's visor is yellow instead of red
    * Rumble/Frenzy gun storage panels on feet are unpainted
    * Cut out images for display panel not included
    * Microcassette cases are clear transparent instead of hot pink
    * Laserbeak has a brighter shade of red.
    * Buzzsaw is a brighter yellow instead of amber.
    * Ravage has a different shade of grey.
    * Rumble has a brighter shade of red, and has painted gold decos instead of gold chrome.
    * Frenzy has a brighter shade of purple and blue, and painted silver decos instead of silver chrome.
