    Default Rescue Bots Academy toys

Since there isn't a huge demand or interest in Rescue Bots by older collectors (who aren't parents), maybe an all-in-one news topic for the sporadic new toys for the new series.
This is basically a 2019 toyline, but we already have the Electronic Hotshot toy released in America (for US$25), plus the two Mega Mighties (Bumblebee, Hotshot) look to be out in Singapore.

Other toys so far revealed include a re-release of the Flip Racer Optimus, with a launcher trailer, that launches the bots out from the side of the trailer - out in January for US$21.
And wave 23 of the "Rescan" series has a new Hotshot as a plane, and a new Wedge as a snowplough. (so far released is wave 20 with the Chase motorcycle, so we still need another two waves released before this one comes out)

UPDATE - the rescan Hotshot and Wedge were just found two days ago in America... so maybe wave 21 and 22 were skipped or cancelled (which would be the second Salvage cement mixer to be cancelled, if true).

Something called "Featured" is slated for January, according to Entertainment Earth, with Medix and Whirl, for about US$15 each (the regular rescan toys are US$9, so these might be like Megabots).

Official images of Rescue Bots toys that were first on display at the New York Toyfair back in February.
The images include the 4-pack of remoulds (Hotshot, Whirl, Hoist, Wedge), and new packaging "Rescan" bots with a new toy Grimlock (no robot mode - dino turns into a motorcycle), along with a remould race-car Whirl, and repack/re-release Bumblebee, Brushfire, Chase and Hotshot.

Hmmm, that Grimlock is a bit ‘Cyberverse’ looking. I wonder if that means that CB and RBA will be tied together the same as RID & RB were. And if so how would that work as RB & RBA are meant to be the same universe but RID and CB are meant to be seperate.

Official images of the big Bumblebee Track Tower for the Rescue Bots Flip Racers (is packed with a Hotshot Flip Racer) that was on display at the New York Toyfair, showing that it acts as a bit of a carry-case for Flip Racers (holds 8), while the "launcher" ramp seems a little simple for its size and expense.
It also seems a little late, as the Flip Racer toys have been discontinued for quite a while now... and even though they were shelf-warming for over a year, they will be hard to find when this thing is released some time in July (for US$30).

A couple more trailer toys for Rescue Bots, with Wedge and Hoist being the toys hauling a trailer this time. Both trailers open up into a Command Centre.
No release date, as they were listed on a UK retailer site with just name and pictures.

A second series of Rescue Bots blind-bag figurines has been found on a UK toystore website. The first series was for Rescue Bots and released August 2018, containing 16 figurines (two moulds of eight different characters).
This second series is labelled as Rescue Bots Academy, but are noted on the pack as Series 2... and six of the 16 figurines are redecos from the first series (the others are new moulds of new Academy characters).
The pairs of characters are Wedge, Hotshot, Whirl, Hoist, Medix, Optimus Prime (redecos), Bumblebee (redecos), Chase (redecos).

We didn't get the first series here, so are unlikely to see these here. (the first series was really hard to find, so these will probably be even harder to find)

The next wave of Rescan (small) and Feature (large) Bots have been listed on Entertainment Earth for pre-order (for JAN/FEB next year).

Wave 3 Rescan Bots (or, wave 28 if following on from the regular Rescue Bots toyline)....

1x TRA RESCUE BOTS ACAD. RESCAN CHASE DRAGS (new)
1x TRA RESCUE BOTS ACAD. RESCAN MEDIX JEEP (new)
1x TRA RBT BUMBLEBEE (re-release of wave 22 redeco)
1x TRA RBT HEATWAVE CLASSIC (re-release trailer version)
1x TRA RESCUE BOTS ACAD RESCAN BLADE JET (re-release)
1x TRA RESCUE BOTS ACAD RESCAN OPTIMUS PRIM (re-release trailer version)

(the two new toys of this wave have identical transformations of previous toys, but are new moulds - these toys are so simple, the engineering will often be replicated over time)

Wave 3 Feature Bots (this is the new size class that is smaller/cheaper than Megabots)...

2x TRA RBT ACADEMY FEATURE HOT SHOT (new)
1x TRA RBT ACADEMY MEDIX (re-release)
1x TRA RBT ACADEMY WEDGE (re-release)

No images yet for the Feature Bots.

Even though Toymate has the Feature Bots listed on their website, I haven't seen any sightings for them here yet, so I don't know if we are getting them here.

Also listed are the two new trailer sets, for January...

1x TRA RBT WEDGE RESCUE TRAILER
2x TRA RBT HOIST RESCUE TRAILER

Looks like Wedge will be the harder one to find.

Those mini-racers that are at Kmart (and I think Toyworld) have been out for a little while now, but some time ago a special 5-pack (missing Whirl) was listed on Amazon America (as their exclusive) which was in a special box and packed with an exclusive mini playmat.
It has now been listed as Australian stock on Amazon Australia, for $38 (ready to ship).
The five toys are identical to the individual ones... which rules me out, as I'm not doubling up on identical toys just to get a new playmat and special packaging.
