Some more clips and TV spots.

SPOILERS... well naturally, but more than usual.

This one actually has several trailers together, but the first one of 30 seconds is new, and it features Cade's daughter making an "appearance", letting us know that she's still around for this movie. (just not sure if she and her boyfriend show up on screen this time though)

Apparently this one has some more footage of Dragonstorm.

This one was apparently on the Ellen show, and it is a whole new scene that we haven't seen before... showing us that Lennox is working for the TRF, who are tasked with hunting down both Autobots and Decepticons, but his past loyalty to the Autobots has him unwilling to take on Autobots. (at least, in that scene)

A TV spot from Japan this time, with several new scenes in its 90 seconds.

And another one from America, with a few extra bits in it.

Another day, another 15 different damn Movie Trailers, leaving us with less and less of actual movie left unseen.

A little more of Cogman, plus a new hint about a key plot device in this movie.

An extended version of the "fight like a girl" trailer from about a month ago. (plus old trailers after it)

A new scene with Cade, Laura and Cogman. (plus old trailers after it)

Proof of the return of Agent Simmons... looks more like a last minute cameo though.

The Junk Truck bot we saw in early filming, plus a few more seconds of new material.

The Japanese trailer from the previous post, released as the "International Trailer" in HD.

A trailer from Norway, with a few more seconds of new material.

A new day brings us seven new trailers and TV spots...

This one features more of their underwater scenes and has another returning character from the first three movies - General Morshower. That makes three now who missed out on TF4 while the series was going through its "introduction" to the next chapter.

And this one has a nice minute clip from Michael Bay at the end (that may or may not be new - I haven't seen it before), talking about how he is filming this one entirely in IMAX 3D, rather than converting it to 3D later like other movies.

This one features a new scene with Grimlock taking on Barricade, and our first clear look at Barricade in robot mode after Bumblebee shoots him in car mode... who is a lot bluer in robot mode (and car mode now) than the dark blue car mode he was originally seen as on set. Even the toy is so dark, it looks black if you aren't up close to the toy.

Two more from Korea, probably with some new bits in them.

This one shows some more of the rivalry between Laura and Cade, and a new scene with Cogman showing off his offensive abilities (firing a missile out of his mouth).

And this one starts off with our best look at the planetary object (Cybertron, Unicron, Quintesson?) actually crashing into the side of the Earth.

This isn't exactly a TV Spot, but it does include some trailer footage - Paramount UK tweed this 2 minute video, showing hidden camera footage of people at an art gallery in England, looking over a painting that is labelled as being done in 1815, but has Ironhide in it... which has amusing results.

Another new TV spot gives us a better look at the Junk Bot (will it be called Wreck-Gar?).

All this TV adverting in America (which doesn't seem like a lot more than they had for the fourth movie), has been noted as being the top advertiser on TV over there (for the week of June 5th to 11th) at an estimated US$7.34 Million (about AU$10 Million).

There are movies out there with smaller budgets than the money being spent on just marketing the Transformers movie (and a lot of other $100 million+ movies)... if they spend that much in just one week on just US TV, and we've seen a lot of other promotional items posted here, just imagine how much money was spent globally, just to ensure their expected Billion dollar return... with China being the expected saviour again like the last two.

This youtube video was actually posted on the Paramount Australia channel, that features "dashcam footage" from Florida, of a sports car that looks like Hot Rod being pursued, and then running off the road before Transforming.

(now... I've probably watched way too many of those police chase videos, but that actually looks like footage from a popular actual car chase that had a vehicle veer off into the gutter and crash into those trees on the side of the road... and this one just had the vehicle replaced with a CG Transformers car/robot)

A couple of TV spots from Russia, via TFW... although, these two clips don't have any movie scenes in them, so they look more like advertisements for cars and petrol stations.

On youtube - Bumblebee and Barricade (as cars) at a petrol station.

On facebook - various sports cars driving around, including a yellow camaro and a police car.

And for something amusing, and equally indirect by having no movie footage, is this promo clip for the Movie on Instagram, done with the footballer Calvin Johnson (who has the nickname of Megatron, and had an official Transformers toy produced a few years back that was a purple redeco of the GEN-14 Megatron stealthbomer with a football and his signature painted on the toy). It also features the voice of Optimus Prime though, as part of the joke that he is not THAT Megatron.

Closer to the release date, the promo spots are getting more creative.

This one has Optimus destroying a chair, while this one has Hound about to do a scene with a tennis ball (a role reversal of how the human actors have to be filmed with stand-in heads or balls so that their eyes are looking right where the CG robot will be).

And Paramount UK have posted up a new trailer on instagram, focussing on the main robot cast, featuring some nice new shots of characters like Barricade.

Some more TV spots... only a few more days left of this bombardment of advertising.

Another comedy promo clip, of Bumblebee recording his lines for the movie.

And this one is a stop motion video of movie toys, that plays out like a blooper reel.

This one features the new video format that allows you to use your mouse (or finger on a touch screen) to move 360 degrees while the video is playing... which look to be filmed with small pod of synchronous cameras pointing in all directions, that would then have the images stitched together fairly seamlessly, making it look like those videos you can watch with Virtual Reality goggles.
It's a two minute video of 4 or 5 scenes being filmed, with your point of view often being on the crane arm of the IMAX camera that is filming the scene, so you can either watch what was being filmed, or scroll around to see what is going on behind the camera. It's a lot of fun actually, and in high quality too, so you get to see a lot of stuff going on all around you.
I think that will be the future of many movies, with a screen that has no borders (wearing the VR goggles), and you can look all around, instead of in just one direction. Not all movies would do it though, as horror movies and art films only work if the director has control over what you can see. (and the sound quality might be limited as well)

This clip on facebook is advertising IMAX again, giving us a first look at Nitro transforming.
While this clip was posted on Michael Bay's website, and talks about the usage of IMAX cameras for this film, and how he filmed with two cameras to get true 3D footage.

And this clip is actually a cross-advertisement for a Chinese used car company, but it shows us some first looks at two Decepticons - Mohawk and Dreadbot. Which is a big deal, because the main focus so far has been on the Autobot characters, with Megatron and Barricade so far being the only Decepticons given more than a second on the trailers, and just like TF4, there are very few Decepticon toys (just 5 of the 23 Premier Edition toys).

This final one for today is not a TV spot or video... but it's apparently related to a publicity event soon to be held in Germany.
It looks like a couple of mock-up vehicles (Barricade and Bumblebee - obviously not actual movie cars as Barricade is black) for an upcoming Movie promotion in Germany, were pulled over by German police for a vehicle check, and failed the inspections.
To have a bit of fun with it, the Berlin Police posted up on their facebook page, some photos and comments about their capture of the Cybertronians (translated text from link above)...

So #Bumblebee and #Barricade reckoned without our tougk-as-steel colleagues when they were cruising through Charlottenburg yesterday. Both stumbled into a traffic check of our sections 24 and 25 on Bismarkstraße in Charlottenburg around 12 o'clock.
Since there is most likely no such a thing as road traffic regulations on planet #Cybertron, both were in for massive trouble.
So who would be surprised that both the "Autobot" as well as the "Decepticon" sported modifications, as they basically have those in their gear fluid. It was a long list:
Aside from the chassis, the tires and the lighting, both cars' exhaust systems clearly appeared to have massive flaws. On top of that, #Barricade sported an "injury" on his rear axle. He wouldn't tell us what had caused the dangerous loss of oil. However, there was no suspicion of an "Optimus Crime".
Thanks to the assistance of our Haulicons, we brought both of them to planet "Dekra". There they joined their other steel pals and waited for an expert opinion from planet Earth. The inspection institution may not Cybertron, but at least they're the only ones of their kind there.
On the bright side, at least Bumblebee's co-driver "Wheelie" sported a safety belt. There is reason for a worried look:
    – Participation in next week's film premiere may be jeopardized.
    – The owners (39 and 27 years of age) can expect to pay a fine as well as the costs of the expert opinion.
It even got a response from the German Transformers Movie facebook page (translated)...

Don't worry, Optimus Prime will do everything in his power to free you! #FREE BUMBLEBEE #FREE BARRICADE
