Glass gun is available in campaign, I just gave it a crack. Impressive it is too!

When I got to Grimlock's level, I felt that the Bruticus level was there mainly as a tutorial for Grimlock's play style. And yeh, I want my Combaticons too. I liked the way they were represented here, very much as a cohesive special operations/SAS team.

Probably the one thing I was disappointed about was the lack of a big surprise....

Technical flaws - as noted by others, the game does freeze up a bit when a large number of the enemy is on screen (Grimlock taking on the Insecticons). And twice in the early levels, my character got stuck (couldn't move in robot mode, despite nothing around to block it), forcing me to jump or transform to get unstuck.

Soundwave's voice sounded wrong... It didn't sound like WFC Soundwave.
And Shockwave just doesn't sound as imposing without the deep resonating tone of the Gen1 Shockwave.

I looked on the leaderboards for the MP games, and even though the game has only been out about 4 days, there is already one person with almost 48 HOURS of game time!

Does anyone else think it is ironic/stupid that if the TECH items weren't allocated to two of the directional buttons on the left of the game-pad, they aren't used at all... despite you needing up/down controlling of your aerial alt-modes. Why use the symbols on the right, when you have up & down buttons on the left that NEVER gets used at all in the game.

Those SDCC Combaticons aren't as game-accurate with the colourings after all. Still a lot closer than the eye-sore fluro colours of the regular retail ones though.
I thought this so stank of G1, I wouldn't believe you if you told me it was Prime. As fr big surprises, the one that really got me was Metroplex laying the smackdown on Megatron, although I thought he'd cop it because he is in his WFC body when you first launch the artillery strike on his minions, and is obviously toughened up on the Ark attack. But really I wasn't surprised he died, just by WHOM.

Busy screens and freezing? Mine froze up on the opening scene when Optimus first shows his face. Hardly busy, other time was on the Ark as BB. Very annoying.
Someone has 48hrs online play?????? No wonder I get my ass handed to me on online games.

I missed Shockwaves G1 voice very much, it really took me out of the zone and he never really felt like a Shockwave to me because of it. I think they made Soundwave's voice a bit more gravelly, it sounded to me a bit closer to movie soundwave imo.

I kept forgetting about the TECH items. Never bought any, I would just pick up the ones found around the place, usually the drone thing. Really they are useless, although the gravity bomb thing is cool, but again, I only used it in that one bit where the aim is to teach you about the TECH items... So I didn't realise it only allocated to left and right buttons, I assumed as there were 4 items, drone on left, grav pn right etc etc. What a waste.

I thought the SDCC Combaticons were supposed to be game accurate as well... After playing as them I watched a review and they aren't that close afterall. And they aren't all that g1 accurate either, Vortex and Blastoff are completely wrong.

Oh well, at least I know my G2 colours are game AND toy accurate.

That's one small whinge I have, why is it that I can have G2 Bruticus, but not G2 Vortex or Swindle????

I tried my hand at Escalation, by myself and managed to get to wave 3, easily enough. Found it a little annoying that the powerups aren't differently marked. I was looking for a heavy weapon vending machine and found all sorts of other things going on, but no heavy weapons... Meanwhile, got dudes shooting at me. Not cool! Nice to see traps and the like in there though!

The only time my game froze was when I was playing as Grimlock and had dropped down to one of the lower levels. Loved playing as Grimlock, only thing that would have made the level better was if we had seen the Insecticons play more like their Gen 1 selves (Shrapnel shooting electricity etc).

Apparently they did approach the actor that did the voice of Shockwave in G1 and Animated to do Shockwave's lines in DOTM and he refused so not surprising he did not do it here either. Such a shame - he really did not sound remotely like G1 which made him feel less like Shockwave to me too.

Never bothered to use a tech item except what I picked up as well, now that I have finished it on easy and I've got a ton of energon-creds maybe will buy some when I play through on normal. Would be most handy when doing Clifjumpers escort to stop those Decepti-sods blowing up the bomb - the only really annoying part of the game for me.

All this said - I LOVED the last level! Had no idea I would play as so many different characters! Have to say that this game (because of all the G1 stuff (it's SO not TF: Prime) may just be my fav game ever! Will see if I'm still playing the multiplayer in a years time like I was with Halo 2

Nah... as Tets mentioned, Vortex and Blastoff are the wrong colours for Gen1 and the game.
    Close, but noticeably different.
(but still better looking/applicable than the regular release ones)

Ha ha ha! I love that different people find different areas easy/hard. I played on normal and had no issues with that section, but as I mentioned earlier had heaps of Trouble with Megs.

Um, had something else to say, but forgot what it is now... Must be getting old(er).

I had trouble with that bomb bit, until i use the riot cannon. Then its easy as. I have found a few easter eggs along the way too. Such as the wrecked tank in the cliff level. There is an inscription on it when you examine it. Roman numerals. Not sure what it means, it disappeared before i could write it down.

Damn, I am waiting for my 27" monitor to arrive so that I can start playing this. It's killing me to just be sitting on it.

If there was one thing FOC fails at, it would be the lack of Checkpoint selection on the Chapter menu screen (as you could do with WFC).
It is really getting annoying to have to chase up trophies if you have to play out the entire chapter now, instead of just jumping ahead to the Checkpoint right before the Trophy (or Blueprints & Audio recordings) are located.

At first i was annoyed about that as well, but i actually think is was a good idea to remove it, it is almost like cheating to be able to jump ahead to a checkpoint, plus having to play through the level again from start to finish means you get to enjoy high moon's hard work in developing this game and its campaign just a bit longer
