Henkei Decepticon Specialists Galvatron, Astrotrain and Octane

Interesting to see that they've replaced the chromes and added metallic coloured plastics. Galvatron looks better... Octane I don't think looks really any better or worse (I personally prefer the chrome on Henkei, but I don't think the metallic purple looks bad either). For Astrotrain, the colours look lighter here than on the Henkei, and I prefer the slightly darker colours. But this one looks nice too.

Great for people who skipped the previous versions, but yeah, easy pass for me.

I think these are the best colours we've seen on the Galvatron mode and I'd trade my Universe one up in a heartbeat if not for:

1. The fact that I have to buy the other two, who aren't bad but aren't that much improved over their predecessors.
2. Me knowing how bad this mold is in terms of joint tightness and tolerances. I shudder to imagine what its like now

It's good for people who missed out on these figures to finally get a second chance to get them ... in more palatable colors. Astrotrain is the best of the 3. There is nothing we can do now with the molds for galvy and Tankor (Octane) though I do wish they make an updated Voyager version for Octankor and Astrotrain. Though an u[sized version of this mold for Astrotrain is acceptable for me as I like this mold, just needs to get bigger.

Lint: I do agree that these toys would be more tempting if they were sold individually. I initially got Classics Astrotrain, but then bought Henkei Astrotrain when it came out 2 years later and sold off my Classics one. So I suppose if they did come out separately, I might be tempted to get Galvatron and sell off my Universe Galvy... though less likely as I'm not as big a fan of the Galvatron mould.

I wonder what Galvatron's specializing at? Since it's called a Decepticon Specialists pack - Astrotrain - Troop Transport I guess, Octankor - Fuel Transport, again Im guessing... Galvy? a maniac on the battlefield? hehehe

The Astrotrain is gorgeous (though I wouldn't mind new, larger (voyager?), more poseable mould by now) and I do like Octane, but I just really don't like Galavtron. He never should have been a deluxe and I really don't like what I've seen of the mould, or heard of it.
