Default Henkei Autobot Specialists Hound, Mirage and Ironhide pics

Pics are up on Takara-Tomy for the next set of redecos.

Hound looks to have a browner green and yellow/orange eyes and no Ravage. Ironhide looks like a metallic version of Universe and Mirage is a lighter blue than the original Henkei release, though still generally a Mirage-esque blue.

Looks good. Gonna get me this. Now it's a matter on the Decepticon set (Astrotrain, looking at you buddy)

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade as it opens up an opportunity for those who missed out last time, but does anyone know why Takara/Tomy are re-leasing these figures again? Is it to do with the 30th anniversary or are they just milking the cow so to speak??

Don't want to give you a banal answer but the answer is likely 'both'.

And it is likely that Hasbro Asia are the ones behind this as it is apparently not going to be released in Japan. They have a knack for identifying where the demand is and applying predatory pricing to match.

They look so awesome, but I struggle to agree with the prices of them. Maybe one day.

At least Hasbro Asia pay attention to fandom (customer) needs. They are greedy about it and take advantage but at least they are not clueless.

    Hasbro: We need more Bumblebees!
    Tak-Tom: More shiny paint!
Hasbro Asia: So fans like classic characters huh?

So these are being released in Japan it seems... but the Seeker sets were just Hasbro HK products.

For items that are Hasbro HK/Asia, it gets confusing when they use the TakaraTomy names on their exclusive items... calling them Henkei, or using JP packaging on anything they re-release, it makes it easy for collectors to be thinking that they are Japanese releases, and look for them on JP dealer sites. At least these are Japanese releases, or both JP and Asia releases.

But they should have called these Generations, as it is the current JP name anyway, and would fit in with the Hasbro series as well.

From the link in the first post, Reservations period from 25th February to 25th March, and "winners" notified by email on the 28th (must be very limited quantity).
The set gets released June 25th... and costs a whopping 11,800 yen (about AU$150) for three Deluxes.
Doesn't look like it includes Ravage.
