    Default scratch built boat

    i've been working on this for a few weeks now and i've just about finished the first section(i'm doing it in 3 sections.this is the back end).i've just been using a bit of scrap balsa and paddle pop sticks that we had laying around. it's not based on any real life battleship but i'm kinda gonna do it in WW2 era(i love the big gun battleships like the hood,bismarck and the yamato).

    I agree. Looking good. Reminds me of those pics of that giant GI Joe playset.

    (and a reminder if there was a to scale Broadside toy just how big it would have to be! )

    thanks guys. this is the first time ever doing sometime like this from scratch and i think it's been nearly 20yrs since i did a model kit. also the wife is impressed so i must be doing it right.

    That work-in-progress ship is freakin awesome. Its the scale of the ship that adds the wow factor. Really look forward to seeing the end product (& further work-in-progress photos).
