Though I wasn't alive in the 80s, I feel some kind of fondness for it, though it's more second hand nostalgia from experiencing media from the time as a small child. All these great cartoons that I watched reruns of non-stop when they were on Boomerang were the highlight of my early childhood (about age 4-6). Watching Transformers G1 sparked my interest in it in 2012. I loved He Man and the MOTU, TMNT, Thundercats and was a big fan of The Smurfs. Man did I love the Smurfs.

So many good movies as well. You had Star Wars (well, 5 and 6), TFTM, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Robocop, etc. All favourites of mine.

Most of my music taste comes from the 70s 80s and early 90s as well. Aerosmith made a great comeback from their 70s style and made all their current hits. Guns N' Roses, my favourite band, formed in '85 and released one of, if not the greatest debut album(album in my opinion) of all time in Appetite for Destruction (1987). AC/DC introduced Brian Johnson, after Bon Scott left us in 1980. Metallica started in 1981, with Ride the Lightning, Kill 'em all, Master of Puppets, etc. Motley Crue were pretty good, though a little less inspired then other bands. Bon Jovi came out in '86 with Slippery When Wet and were/are great.

The video game boom happened as well. All these classic games on the NES were released in the 80s. Super Mario Bros (1,2,3), Contra, Castlevania, Duck Hunt, Legend of Zelda were some of the good ones for me.

There's so much that the eighties offered us. While the 70s (and arguably 60s) had that big boom in popular culture, the 80s defined it and made it permanent.

I got 13 out of 14 right. Got no. 7 wrong - Charles in Charge. The photo is crap, I could hardly see Scott Baio in the background and I must admit, I never watched that show. And what, no Family Ties??! That makes Alex P. Keaton angry

Got 14/14. Didn't know all the shows but was able to use process of elimination. Need an 80s cartoon one of those.
