When you compare the engineering, articulation (amount of joints for posing) and panel sculpting of the Generations toys at the moment, to the RID toys (the Warriors), it is understandable that Hasbro would be trying to cut as much cost as possible, for toys that have a smaller production run, but sold at about the same price-point or size (Deluxe to Warrior).
The worst of the Combiner Wars Deluxes is still better than the best of the RID 2015 Warriors... when you compare the sculpting, articulation and overall engineering/design of the toys.

I'd much rather have the Generations toy come with less paint apps, than be simplified to RID standards as an alternative cost-cutting method.
(and if you want the paint, chances are that they will be released by TakaraTomy, so don't waste your time complaining about the Hasbro versions people, as there will be a better alternative if you are willing to pay extra for it)

The $55 preorder price from PC is a much better reflection of what the figure is worth.

Or we could always hope it ends up at The Reject Shop for a twenty...

The recent stock images of all the figures have the Deluxe TM's looking fantastic. The plastic has a metallic sheen to it. Hoping this lot of images has not been retouched before, as Leader Blaster and PM Prime's plastic looks dull.

I think I prefer the original. He's taller and has buttons to press.
On the lookout for MISB Headmaster Highbrow, Takara or Hasbro. I'm sure I could make you a sweet deal!
