Default Yay - San Francisco here I come

Just booked my first trip to San Francisco - heading there mid October for 9 night (and by the time you add in the date line, almost two weeks)
Really looking forward to it, though it means some changes to my spending habits.

Who wants to purchase a kidney
Or some Transformers ... that will work as well.

Anyone been there? Have any tips etc?

Go for the usual spots, the golden gate bridge which is neither made of gold or have a gate, Lombard street, fisherman's wharf - try the clam chowder.

Join the Segway tours! Fantastic way to know more about the neighbourhood and you'll become a tourist attraction! I loved the advanced tour where you go up and down SF's steepest hills including Lombard.

Great city! Saw Barry Bonds (who probably took enough steroids to make Lance Armstrong cry) score his 600th home run (from memory - it was some kind of record anyway) at the baseball stadium there. Plenty to see. There's a really nice comic shop there too (can't remember the name, sorry).

    Enjoy mate, I'm envious!
