Yes, they are expensive, but they are silk ties. HLJ's preorder price is currently the cheapest that I could find. They're scheduled for release in July... can't wait!

These seem to be Gen1 themed, but we became adults ages ago...
It's one of the benefits of the new Movies for us pre-movie fans, as businesses are more willing to produce merchandise for both new and old fans.

i dont see why they wouldn't. They're good looking ties. Unless they have a specified tie which you need to wear as part of your uniform, in which case you're porked

Depends on your workplace, but mine would. I've been wearing home-made TF ties for the past 7 years now, and these look WAY better! It would also depend on which tie too... the ones with the small logo patterns are more subtle and I reckon easier to get away with in more conservative work places.
