These are TakaraTomy toys (and maybe some significant licensed items) currently known from official sources, scheduled for release in MAY in Japan (as well as in Asia as most Japanese Transformers toys are also released through Hasbro Hong Kong).

These monthly lists will be archived on the Transformers Checklist (link to come) if you need to refer to these listings later (if anything is found out later, because these monthly lists won't be updated after their month ends).

Looks like every current unreleased (non-exclusive) item from Japan has been delayed by 8 days, and Artfire by 10 days.
That means the release date of toys in Japan, after Artfire comes out on May 19th, will move to Saturday from Friday... which is an odd day to have as a retail release date (a weekend).

Not odd for Japan. I know from the video game industry they do weekend launches often. Japanese console maker Nintendo actually was launching products on Saturday here for a while also.

I also think several years ago Takara might have had their official street dates for toys as Saturday but the online retailers would send them out on the Friday, I guess so they start arriving on Saturday if they have weekend delivery like America.

Updated the list with the October Legends toys, the two Disney Mickey reissues, the re-release Anniversary toys, and the two versions of the 7-11 exclusive Dark Optimus toy.

I also noticed that the release date for MP Artfire has been pushed back again, to be on the same day as the other regular May items.

Changed the release date for MP Dirge to late June, as that's what the TakaraTomyMall page now says.

(also deleted the May 9th date from Artfire, as it was most likely a typo, meaning to be 19th... before it was delayed to the 26th)

Updated Dirge to note that it's Asia release was still this week, and that only the JP release is delayed until June.

Thanks. They've also just added in the next 10 TLK toys (10 to 19), and another two Metacolle figures (Dark Optimus and Sqweeks).

And while I was adding them onto the checklist above, the images were added to those pages. (they weren't there when I started, but are there now)
