    Default Universe/Classics Sideswipe!

So... In terms of paintjob, this toy, out of package is pretty much perfect. Sure, SLIGHT difference between the top of the car and the rest of the plastic, but pretty negligible -

SO. Why is this in this section?
Cause I gave him a new coat over the red.
Being red already, all I needed to do was give him a few light coats of Tamiya Metallic Red (spraycan), let it dry, then go over with Pearl Clear Coat (Tamiya Spraycan again) and then put him together.
(Of course, there's the masking of... everything... that had to be done before painting could begin.

Here's the result, PLUS a cool gundam 'action base' thing that I picked up from Hearn's Hobbies in the city Awesome! It's huge! SHORYUKEN!!!

Tell me what you think, and Vehicle mode will follow soonish. (this has to have been the fastest custom I've done... I was masking his winscreen yesterday during the day, then did nothing till this morn when I masked up the rest of the things that I needed and then sprayed - all done within 2 or so hours (of course with lots of house chores in between, waiting for paint to dry )

    Edit:
Here are the Alt mode pics:

    Nice pearl colour.
I've tried that Tamiya pearl clear and to me it feels a bit soft. I'd put a coat of regular clear over the top and polish that out instead of leaving the pearl on top.
And you have a bit of dust hanging on there

All you need to know about finishes. Just substitute in Meguiars Scratch X and carnauba wax from an auto store.
