Yeah, Downshift is a 1980s Toyota Corolla. When I was at uni I knew a guy who had one just like it -- I kept calling it Downshift. He didn't get it.

Here's my old Downshift.


Thundercracker, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack and Ratchet weren't mailaway exclusives, but they were available as mailaways in case you couldn't get them in stores. I personally got Mirage in store, but I got Thundercracker, Wheeljack, Sunstreaker and Ratchet as mailaways. Oh wait, I think we might've gotten a Mirage too, but that was given away to one of my cousins (since we already had one from the shops ) -- my cousin "grew out" of Transformers a long time ago, and I've since gotten that Mirage back (so I keep my original Mirage displayed in robot mode and the mail away one in vehicle mode -- not that there's any actual difference between the toys )

I always love it when people lose interest in Transformers and give their toys to me for free.

IIRC, the number plate says Celica on him - but the Supra was a car based upon the Celica and the actual model that Downshift was based upon is classified as a Supra.
