Collectors Club Magazine #58
Aug 27, 2014 - 8:49 PM - by BigTransformerTrev
Just received mine today. The usual awful display with rather uninteresting articles. Two points worth mentioning:

1: The front cover shows pics of the new Generations - Armada Megatron, Generations Brainstorm & TFSS 3.0 Krok figures. They look really good, for me seeing Krok (based on the Generations Stealth Bomber Megatron mould) was very exciting as I didn't know this toy was in the works, though not cool enough to make me sign up to the 3.0. Sadly there is then... [Read More]

Promo Review - Platinum Edition Breakout Battle
Aug 26, 2014 - 9:00 PM - by griffin
Another Promo-Review thanks to Hasbro Australia, who sent me a couple items last week to review and promote here (and globally).
For the benefit of fans I've made sure that the watermarks are not covering the toys in the photos... once the images appear on the global
fansites crediting the source, no one is going to be able to get away with claiming the images as theirs. Websites (and online stores) still get the
exposure without needing to spoil the images. ... [Read More]

Promo Review - Platinum Edition Optimus with Trailer & Sideswipe
Aug 22, 2014 - 10:11 PM - by griffin
Another Promo-Review thanks to Hasbro Australia, who sent me a couple more items to review here (and globally).

I was honestly surprised to get this set. I was told that they were sending the Breakout Battle set and "one other", but I was expecting the Autobot
5-pack or the Leader 2-pack, since they are the other ones that have been shown off by Hasbro at BotCon and SDCC... and should be out before
this set. So it was like Christmas for me, getting a... [Read More]

Following on from the Dawn of the Autobots story-arc that finishes in October, the Days of Deception (not Decepticon) begins in November, and this months Previews catalogue gives us some info and comic covers.
(mirrored here for just the Transformers products)

November will also be the start of the next Drift story by Australian Shane... [Read More]

Prototype Optimal Optimus and maybe more
Aug 22, 2014 - 5:33 PM - by griffin
The broker who sold the Gen2 Stunticons recently on ebay (z75sales) is apparently the person posting up a couple of videos that document the estate of a former Hasbro/Kenner employee. (same username on youtube)

The first video is just a minute of looking at rooms of boxes, but the second one is interesting, for showing us how he stumbled across a pre-production sample of the Beast Wars Optimal Optimus toy,... [Read More]

Next JP Kabaya model kits - GO! Samarai team
Aug 22, 2014 - 4:28 PM - by griffin
It seems that the last set of Kabaya kits (Star Convoy, Buster, Hydra) were released and I didn't even realise it until I just heard about the next set. The last set had a release date of May 27th, so I'm not sure if they were out since then... and I don't recall seeing them at BotCon a month later if they were.

Anyway, back on topic... the next set of three will not be Gen1 characters. ... [Read More]

G1 Optimus Prime 2014 Christmas Ornament from Hallmark
Aug 19, 2014 - 8:54 PM - by Ultra Mackness
This isn't exactly news although I did a quick search I couldn't find a thread for it but apologies if I'm unnecessarily starting a new one!

Like the title says, this is a Hallmark Christmas ornament. Being G1 Optimus, I naturally wanted to pick one up but Hallmark Australia didn't have it on their website so I don't trust that it will be released here and the Hallmark America site doesn't offer shipping to Oz.

However the site in the link does offer shipping to Oz... [Read More]

Collector Club toy head-sculpts on display
Aug 19, 2014 - 12:51 PM - by griffin
At the NJCC convention in America last weekend, there was a custom sculpting company (called Boss Fight) with a booth, showing off some of their recent projects... including some of FunPub's GIJoe and Transformers exclusive heads.

We get a really good look at four of them (Rampage/Shokaract, Chromedome, Eject/Rewind, Thrustinator), and two others are... [Read More]

Hong Kong Milk Magazine Voyager Optimus competition
Aug 19, 2014 - 12:00 PM - by griffin
I had thought that I had mentioned this somewhere when the competition was running, but might just be remembering the Milk Magazine's 2011 Deluxe Optimus competition. (or I just can't find the news posting)

Well, the Hong Kong fashion magazine called "Milk"... [Read More]

TF4 deleted scene
Aug 18, 2014 - 12:54 AM - by griffin
There are probably many deleted scenes for Age of Extinction, but this is one that we will know about, thanks to Kelsey Grammer in a Yahoo interview.

In a recent interview about his roles in Transformers and Expendables, he mentions that they filmed a scene of him throwing someone Chinese out of a... [Read More]

Club Exclusive: Marissa Fairborn with Afterburner
Aug 15, 2014 - 9:55 AM - by BigTransformerTrev
Apparently the next club exclusive after Nova Prime will be Marissa Fairborne with a non-transforming Afterburner.

The graphic looks really good but a shame that Afterburner doesnt transform. These club exclusives are so far looking better... [Read More]
