As rumored and discussed somewhere else, it looks like now it's been confirmed by Robotkingdom that the upcoming two-packs of Megatron and Prime contain their DOTM and their G1 molds.

See here (http://www.robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType&II=DOTMV002&lang=us&CatID) and here (http://www.robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType&II=DOTMV003&lang=us&CatID)

Many of us have jumped through those hoops. It's a hassle, but it's possible. The Megatron Gun Club gives you a comprehensive check list to go through. Although I didn't need to have a police background check done (since everyone who works with children already has one done) - so I was exempted from that. A lot of what I was doing was filling out forms - statutory declaration, witnesses etc.

But I found the single biggest hassle was finding that lockable glass display unit where I keep my Megatrons (you've seen it IRL). Just because they're not easy to find... I drove around all kinds of furniture stores and nobody had what I was looking for -- but there's a place called display and rack systems (http://displayandrack.com.au/) which has various different kinds of display units. They have an outlet in Villawood and Tempe, but I recommend the Tempe outlet (that's where I got mine from).

Installing the lock on my display room was a hassle cos I just suck at handyman stuff. :p

The hoops they make you jump through drove me mental... but it was worth it in the end since I'm now a legal owner of gun Transformers. :)

Intriguing. What's with that picture of G1 Megatron with internal bleeding and a red fist? I believe it's a KO. I used to have a KO G1 Megs from the 90s that was like that.

More detailed pics of J**** OP and is it me or are G1 Megs/OP getting re-released with their DOTM counterparts?

If it's actually G1 Megatron in Megaplex colours being rereleased (as in the new pictures) then that's pretty cool. It would be nice if he came with his morning star weapon again too.

I really want Megs as well, but remember, G1 Megs is prohibited in NSW, Unless you have all the permits etc. If you do have the permits, we need to talk!

Well if you're a mint MISB type of collector you're pretty much out of luck in NSW. It's guaranteed to be opened by customs. Last time I imported G1 Megs the idiots lost the bullets - the whole fricking uncut sprue!

Are these chronicles sets worth the $130ish preorder price from US each? And I'm sure Gok would help out a fellow TF collector even if it did mean transforming the rules a bit, so long as it's done in the name of transformers.

If I did Import it form the states, I may not need to worry as they will have the orange plugs attached to them so they comply with the yank gun laws

At the moment, we don't know how these are packaged. If they're both in robot mode then most of these issues won't be a problem.
