Two Transformers MMOGs (massively multiplayer online games) are being launched this year - one for the western markets, and one for China (and maybe some neighbouring Asian countries).
The Asian one has had it's website updated (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-evolution-asian-market-online-game/24270/) with character images, including one nice looking Defensor in a WFC style.

MMOG's are like a virtual world environment, which has people log in and use "avatars" (character models that you can customise), to play out adventures/missions or just to interact with other people.
For those who play World of Warcraft, or know about it, these two TFs MMOGs are expected to be of a similar format.

If these two MMOGs introduce more WFC-styled characters, and becomes a long-lasting popular game, we could very well see toys in some form later. (hopefully from Hasbro/TT though)

That Bruticus is about 15 times better than the FOC one.

It's weird seeing the Prime aesthetic being used like that, Defensor and Bruticus look quite cool indeed but interestingly though they're introducing a 3rd faction into the mix - TFW2005 has some updated info, screens and videos here (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/video-games-17/transformers-evolution---asian-market-mmorpg-details-images--gameplay-footage-174591/).:cool:

It'd be really interesting to see if this game spreads over to the Aussie market, proximity could work to our favour but language translation may be a different story. :p

looks really good. So western markets... does that mean we will get this game in Australia? Is it going to cost money to play?

I believe it's free to play but it'd likely employ a system where by you'll need to spend X dollars in order to have X weapon/armour/body-part/look etc. ;) - Australia might be lucky to get it but nothing has been said though, I believe there is a Western game in development which we'd be far more likely to get but that has been pretty quiet really since it's announcement. :o

Looks fantastic and I do hope we get some toys out of it.

Gameplay will probably be lacking though, I would be most dissapointed if it turns out to be like every other cookie cutter asian MMO with transformer skins and transforming only makes you travel the game world faster. Of course, all this can be counteracted by a killer story :D

Since Australia is a Hasbro market, we would be part of the Jagex MMOG (Transformers Universe).
Proximity to China is unlikely to be a factor with this one, as this Asian version is likely to be in Cantonese or Mandarin, and is likely to block anyone joining from another country. (even ones next door to China)
Licensing would force the hosts to limit it to the markets they have permission to allow access to.
