Got myself Alternators Wheeljack from the UK and a new Transformers Autobot Logo shirt from Target (with the G1 1985 back of pack art in the logo, looks very snazzy.

Unfortunately me with my big clumsy hands that have been working on a car for weeks now were too rough with Wheeljack, and i snapped a part off. Should glue back in, but the break in transformation has perplexed me, so in mid transformation he will stay till I can figure it out. :( Feel rather daft now.

If its a clean break I may be able to fix it.

Received my g1 Tracks missile and Transmutate chest in the mail

So my Transmutate is now complete!!! :)

Unfortunately the leg/hip is broken at the leg, so he can't stand up, i hope some super glue fixes the problem, but i am not optimistic:(

The toy itself sucks, the arms and legs and head all pop off whenever you touch the stupid figure. the single leg seems to bend under the weight of the upper body.

Well I think Big W actually listened to my email - I wrote to them saying how bad the TF stock is at Golden Grove and Marion, while Interstate Big W stores are getting in new stock in etc etc. So I visited it tonight (more like just now) to get a few things...and low and behold, the TF stock is no longer in the main walking part of the toy section it is now actually in the aisle! With more stock!! They didn't have ELSE there on Monday :D

BT Convoy - very heavy with the diecast parts.

BW2 Diver (with Niagra playset) - The last recol/unique JP Beast-era Maximal/Cybertron on my list. Diver is just a green Spittor, but I only found out looking at the instructions today that the playset is an actual water feature!!! Plug in some batteries, pour in some water, turn it on, and it pumps water to the top which flows over into the bottom pool like a waterfall. I'm fairly hesitent when it comes to putting water anywhere near my TFs, but this something I will probably try out later. Funny that after 10 years since this thing was released, and me obsessing over it for most of that time, I never thought it was an actual water feature. I just thought it was just a playset for Diver, shaped as a pond because he's a frog. I rarely get pleasantly surprised with TFs these days, so this was a very nice surprise.

Comic 2-packs (Dirge Vs Roadbuster, Springer Vs Ratbat) - The comics are indeed in the wrong packs, which probably doesn't matter, unless it was clearly stated on the packaging that the two toy characters would feature in the bonus comic. Actually, young kids would be disappointed if they were looking for them, but older collectors won't care. Both comics are straight reprints, which left in the standard 'to be continued' bit at the end, falsely suggesting that there will be more Comic 2-packs coming.

Spotlight: Sideswipe and Animated The arrival #3, plus my busted Alt Wheeljack, I can see how he is meant to end up, but cannot get his upper body to line up, arm is also missing due to being fixed. Does anyone know if you have to do a leg swap on Wheeljack? I cannot get the grey plastic floor to remain at the back of the figure and have the legs facing the right way.

Unfortunately that gimmick no longer works on mine. :/ But it's still a neat playset. :) Volcano Base came with a playmat with terrain features painted on it (e.g.: rocks, shrubs, ponds etc.) - does Niagara base come with something like that? (it appears to on the catalogues) - if so, you should do an action shot with the play set fully set out.

Hrmm... maybe I should take my own advice and do likewise with Volcano Base. I did take a action shot once with it like in 1997 when I got it. :p

He isn't in the cartoon, but he makes a damn good Goldbug. The paint is slightly different in box, his head being black is a major difference, but he looks a whole lot better that way. Plus they also fixed his stingers. I was the same, but it was cheaper for me to pick up wave 4 as a whole, so I was pleasantly surprised when he was a good figure

I've seen up to 3XL in the Jay Jays shirts, but I'd barely say that their 3XL equates to a normal XL.

Just shows Jay Jays don't know their target audience properly, seeing as we are forever being told how the nation is obese, and on top of that these shirts are targeting "geeks" and "nerds" who we all know are more likely to be obese (and by know, I mean the Media tells us that they are). :p

Picked up Universe Legends Hound today. I really like him-unlike other Legends toys, he can be extremely accurate to his G1 design since it was fairly simplistic, and thus perfect for a low-cost toy.

As a result, I'm considering getting Legends Megatron.

I made them myself using some "jac" paper my mum gave me! It's basically double sided sticky..
1) you print on a separate piece of paper
2) peel off one side of the sticky paper and stick the printout in place, and cut around it
3) peel off the other side of sticky paper and attach

Nice molds. Fits the Fortress Maximus perfectly.

The items are heavy. Its made complete out of resin. The roller figure even got wheels that rolls instead of a set piece.

Overall, very happy with it. From the look, its the same as the original items.

Just heavier.

Radar, easily lost item looks perfect and hardier than original.

Comes with Grand max pretender sword and gun. Nice touch. For 69.99 shipped, its not a bad substitute to the original.

His colours (in robot mode) aren't actually that bad, and the toy really grew on me. Even though I have the Henkei version now, I still think the Hasbro version is worth keeping.

I went into K-Mart today to get Universe Legends Megatron.

However, upon reaching the relevant aisle, I saw that they had the first wave of Universe Deluxes. As my experience with them told me that, if I came back the next day, they'd be gone (especially since there was a sale on), I jumped at the chance and bought The Transformer Formerly Known As Octane. It was the last one left, too. :D

Bulkhead/Sprung is a lovely toy, Pulse. Great articulation, cool transformation and he's very much a Springer homage. The only thing that annoys me about that mold is the whole jetpack/backpack which really doesn't add very much. One of the best Energon toys imo.

The Energon Sabers are too. I've been trying to track down the Fire saber and Ice saber's as well but they are darned expensive.

Picked up from the mail yesterday - Henkei Skywarp, Henkei Prowl, Henkei Sunstreaker, JP Universe Onslaught, JP Universe Silverbolt, JP Universe Powerglide, and the Minicon 12-pack.
Will probably leave the Minicons in their packaging for a while, because the display box is really nice, and the way they are tied in, I would probably end up destroying the packaging.

My big haul arrived today. Really really disappointed with the quality of some of these boxes due to transport damage, the freaking seller used ONLY newspaper for protection. He didnt even scrunch them up, just folded them.. WTF?? I have requested a partial refund from the seller. I'm so pissed off, I paid shitloads for this lot. Megatron figure was shipped separately to avoid problems with customs. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! wanna scream!!!!!!!!!!! No bubble wrap no packing peanuts nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also pulled a metrotitan the other day for a bargain for 200 bucks. I'l post the pics when that arrives. Hopefully it wont be shipped in a shoebox...........

USA Edition Ultras, Robot Heroes and Acid Storm Thanks to Pulse and Dirge for the latter two.

The Robot Heroes are a bit of a let down when compared to their G1 inspired releases. Their molding and paint apps is not very good, specially Silverbolt who's body is nothing like his BW figure or cartoon model.

Archer's baby (Acid Storm) is ok but for some reason the nosecone is a solid navy blue while the rest is camouflage green which is very distracting.

The fit is skin-tight so we do have to be a little careful. But the plastic is durable enough to take a little force. I have put on and take off the leg armours multiple times with no problem so far. This is a toy that can be "played" with. :p

The Robot Heroes are a bit of a let down when compared to their G1 inspired releases. Their molding and paint apps is not very good, specially Silverbolt who's body is nothing like his BW figure or cartoon model.

Archer's baby (Acid Storm) is ok but for some reason the nosecone is a solid navy blue while the rest is camouflage green which is very distracting.

The instructions shows the weapon in Lugnut's hands but it doesn't say that you have to keep it there to activate it in the wording. :/

The auto-morph gimmick on mine is also dodgy... one side of the cockpit/nose very easily flops open in plane mode. :(

With Lugnut, I initially was trying to get the two cockpit pieces to grip each other. However, this is the wrong approach. The arms that swing them back into place catch the hidden clip that releases them with the automorph. I found that by applying pressure here, I get the gratifying click and the cockpit holds together

I think perhaps that's why us intuitive guys without instructions had no problems with Lugnut. We see the little things like the mini-con ports and the angles and folds that help make sense of things.

Or perhaps you were just the victim of poor QC. That for me was one of the reasons why Animated was really disappointing me for a while. A few exchanges later, things weren't so bad for certain figures.

fyi those toys are Road Rage (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Road_Rage) and Crosscut (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Crosscut_(Autobot)). Have you opened them yet? Because Crosscut is not a repaint of Skids but a different mould! :)

Skids is a Honda City Turbo whereas Crosscut is a Honda City R. They have different heads and chests and Crosscut also comes with Clutch (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Clutch) (Skids doesn't have a scooter-drone). Interestingly enough, Skids' original instruction booklet shows a picture of 'Crosscut' and Skids was drawn with 'Crosscut's' head a few times in the G1 comics, so some fans speculate that the Honda City R Diaclone toy might've been originally intended for Skids but Hasbro later changed their minds and went with the Honda City Turbo figure instead.

I've had that on one occasion - two pieces of folded newspaper for a fully assembled loose G1 Thrust from USA. It was rattling around in the box before I opened it. Luckily nothing broke, but the seller never communicated with me again even though I started a problem report through ebay.

Thats the worst that can happen, especially decepticon jets, with all their pointy bits etc, their bound to cause damage/dents to the windows...

This time around, no windows was damaged, two boxes were CRUSHED and some boxes had slits/cuts, he placed the mib jetfire and megatron at the TOP, the combined weight of these (fairly heavy) plus rolled up newspapers placed ALOT of pressure on the autobot cars and dinobot boxes which were at the bottom. I have been trying to fix the crushed/deformed boxes by putting dvds cartridges inside to form a temporary stable mould to get it back to its original shape and remove the dents...

The second crap packaging experience I've had, is when my MIB hardhead got shipped in a shoebox from england. I told the seller his an idiot and should give me a partial refund for such idiocy especially when I even accepted to cover his paypal fees, he said I was a lying prick.
