Over the course of a day, I managed to hatch 3x Togepi from eggs with enough candy to do the evolution to Togetic. Still need Smoochum to find its way to an egg, but now egg hatches are back to being "meh"

If the encounter rates for kanto starters was increased, I'd hate to see it normally... walked over 15km in western Sydney over ge last two murder got days and got a single squirtle. Could've caught over 85 rats and even more bird rats though... hatched 12 eggs but no Johto eggs.

I wish they'd hurry up with the whole johto 100 now.

Not being at work, I can semi understand how people without access to PokeStops can run low on balls in this game. I headed up country for a road trip and of course played Pokemon at several locations.

I was catching more than I could get back via PokeStops; at one point was down to 27 Pokeballs (though had 70 Great and Ultra Balls remaining).

Sitting at work I fill up my bag several times each day and throw away 50 regular balls at a time ...

Before yesterday I had seen and caught 4 charmanders and hatched a couple. After a 10 minute trip into St Mary's village for bread milk and a cake, I now have caught 18. The things kept spawning every 30 seconds!

Heading into the city today to check out the brick man exhibition, sure I'll be catching heaps of squirtles and charmanders to finally get their final evolutions!

Could do with some more eggs to go in all the single use incubators I'm getting! I managed to get a 10km egg for the first time in months and that's it!

Today I then spend a further $120NZ on in app purchases, but this time using Apple credit from years ago.

From 2009-2011 I had an iPhone for work, so I had an Apple ID; in 2011 I left that job and lost the iPhone and moved over to Android. In 2012/13 my Apple ID was used to purchase a game, but someone elses credit card was then attached to my account to purchase something in an app. I managed to inform Apple of the situation and when they "sorted it out" they credited my account $124.99, even though it was not my credit card used and my total loss was the few cents store credit I had.

Since this credit, I have been trying to figure out how to gift this money to my father who is an Apple user, but without any luck.
After reading a thread over on TSR about someone using one device to purchase in app credit for use on another device, I thought I would give it a go.

By using my fathers iPhone, I signed into my Apple ID, added Pokemon Go to his phone and then signed into the app on the iPhone and purchased 2x $59.99 bundles of credit, giving me 10400 coins.

Used some of those coins to increase bag space from 450 items to 600, and Pokemon storage from 400 to 500.

Then purchased a silver box from the store (8 lucky eggs, 8 lures, 8 incense)
Found out that in combination with the PoGo Plus, the Incense work way better when driving - approx 1 Pokemon every minute. Of course you don't catch them all because of the limitations of the Plus, but it is better than 1 Pokemon every 4/5 minutes.

Waked from Darling harbour through the city to the botanical gardens, walked around the gardens and up to Mrs Macquaries chair and back around to the opera house and up to Wynyard station. Easily10km if not more. Now have enough candy for blastoise, Dugtrio, Electrode and more plus collected another 45 bulbasaur candy and 68 charmander candy. Not to mention all the Ponyta, growlithe and shellder candy too.

This Valentine Week event is awesome!

Over the last two days I have caught over 200 Pokemon each day, normal average per day is around 50. Having a 6 hour lure running while at work certainly helps.

Still no Porygons in my local area, lots of everything else pink

I think they updated the pokemon spawns points as well, they now come up randomly at the side of the road without pokestops or gyms.

With the discount in storage, I have upgraded from 600 to 900. Might go 1000 just to round it up.

Gyms are harder to hit with some of the new pokemon, cant even take down a blissey within the time limit. Gave up after 3 attempts.

I've been going through my best Pokemon and while the CP values are still high, the once perfect movesets (generally for attacking) are now mostly the worst movesets! Along with new moves added, and some removed, there has been a massive change in the DPS/EPS calculations - the few gym battles I have tried, everything was so much slower.

Not sure if I am going to start again trying to get better "new" attackers now ...

I dont have such problems as I kept all the high and even some low 1000 CP pokemons hence the 600 storage, now 1000 storage.

Attacking gyms are still ok but training is a pain, and I am low on heal and revives... still about 50-80 odds of both of em from over 100 previously. Still hitting gyms regularly to get coins as I dont spend real money on the game. Kinda lazy nowadays and just collect the ones that are still in the gyms.

Is anyone finding the app dies ALL the time since the new pokemon upgrade?

My phone drops out about every 1/2 hour and I need to restart. This morning it even reset an egg that had 0.6 km on it to not even walking.
On top of that it keeps giving me error every time I battle in a gym, win and try to add my pokemon. It's rather frustrating since all I'm after is the damn coin!

I've got about 45 new pokemon over the last few days, not including the babies they released a while back. Our place seems to be a spawning area for mantine which is a nice change from the magikarp and tentacools/tentacruels.

I notice that you get an error when someone level up the gym. The app crash or just stop working properly every now and then, but I think its pretty normal as before.

Still cant break 3000CP... maxed and stuck at 2999CP :mad:

I have evolved Slowking and Kingdra.

Was very disappointed with Kingdra as i evolved a 1100 Seadra and it only turned into a 1211 Kingdra?!? Are you kidding me? I wasted a special item and 100 candies to go up 100 CP?!? I was and still am pi$$ed. :mad:

But the good news is i only need one more Dratini to finally get myself a Dragonite. :D

There are theories going around that you get a special item every 7 days on your 7 day bonus. From experience..... not true.

I've managed one Houndour and one Houndoom only, luckily I caught both.

Yet to see a Larvitar or mareep, it is interesting that mareep is a 10km egg mon since most of the other 10km are rare or one of kind in their respective original games and mareep was as common as wooper!

Me either. I do have 4 metal jackets I can't do anything with due to not enough candies which I picked up from random spins, although all in the same suburb I walk through...
I'm not having much luck getting special items for the pokemon I could evolve though.

I do have a mareep that I caught from the pokestop at the hotel across the road. I didn't realise it was rare. Guess I'll be walking him after I get the candies for the current pokemon I'm walking.
We also have a nest for the houndour down the road from us so I've got a few of those.

Someone was also saying the corsola is geographically restricted. Is this true?

Ive caught a Mareep a few days ago. No idea it was rare. Finally hatched a Snorlax from a 10 km egg. Just dont really know how to keep him at his strongest once you run out of candy for him. Its not like hes on every street corner. Spose it could be done by having him as your buddy but i have others i want to evolve before i consider that.
Tomorrow is my 7 day spin. Really need a metal coat for my 1700 CP Schyther i have. Fingers crossed!!

Wondering should I evolve umbreon and espeon or not, as I am currently out of high IV eevees... all evolve trying to get more jolteon last time. Once opportunity wasted, its hard to get one back with a high IV, so a bit hesitating.

I really hate people who put Blissey in gyms, very hard to prestige with a blissey at the low level

Yeah i have finally been able to evolve a Dewgong and i now have 5 Gyarados due to it.
Would have been nice to see kabuto added to the list of commons for the event. Quite a few Machops around also which is helping.

On the glitch side of the house... yes very annoying. Im finding that my powersave when you turn the phone upside down is reversing alot of the time.

While I need some Water types (like Lapras and Gyrados) I am more in need of basically every fire type. Bring on a fire event! I've only seen like two Vulpix ever and maybe five Ponydash and need more Growlithes and a few more of the charmeleon family so I can get a Charizard - the only one of the original starter families still missing!

This new event has me getting multiples of rock Pokemon I've not got before (Omanyte, Kabuto) but to my excitement stumbled upon a Dragonite in the wild! Not on my radar, first I've ever seen, and I got him. Felt like that was one I was never going to get.

It seems to b spawning more variety of Mons in general, I've seen more Johto starters, Kanto starter evolutions, Slugma, Pilowines and Kanto fossils in the last 12 hours than the previous 10 months.

The gaps in my pokedex are decreasing (but I still need 158 Oddish candies which is just ridiculous how infrequently I find Oddishs around (I need 183 if I want to keep a Gloom)

Was anyone successful in hatching an unown last week?
Between our entire family we hatched around 100 10k eggs and didn't get a single one!

I still play! Good to keep open during the daily walk I have to do. I managed to hatch five Unowns (but only three of the five letters). I think I hatched about 30 10km eggs so it was pretty good result.

You both make me feel woozy! I hatched 21 eggs last week, but only 2 were 10km and no luck with Unown, and I expect I'll have about the same luck with getting a Tauros or Mr Mime. You must be powering through 100km a week, easy!

You hatched 5 Unowns from only 30 eggs? That's beyond lucky. My husband said the statistics reckon during the event it took around 50 10k eggs to hatch one unown. We hatched more than that and still came up empty.
I walk our puppy at least 3 -5 km each day and have Pokemon Go linked to my iWatch so tend to walk my eggs pretty well. We also used multiple incubators last week. Possibly a waste of coin but we really wanted to see if we could get one.

I'm hoping to get a Tauros or Mr Mime this week too as they're the ones I am missing. Luck being as it is I'm not holding much hope.

Yes, I think I was pretty lucky, although I had a fantastic ratio of managing to pick up mostly 10k eggs. I think I hatched around 70 eggs last week using multiple incubators from the last of the free coins I had accumulated over weeks and weeks.

Good luck with the regionals! I'm not too worried as I got all the regionals last time they came from eggs but my current status is four Kangaskhan and one Mr Mime, with the rest being the non-regionals which is somewhat annoying.

I had a pretty good hatch rate with Unowns. I can't remember how many 10km eggs I hatched, maybe less than 20, but I got 4 Unowns, with one being a double up.

I was incredibly frustrated yesterday, hatched over a dozen 7km eggs, only 6 were regional, 4 of which were Kanghaskhans, none were shiny. The only shiny regional I have is a Kanghaskhan which I caught in the wild within half an hour of the event starting.

After only catching 1 shiny Ralt last community day, I'm hoping to do better today with Turtwig otherwise I'm going to be incredibly disgruntled.

I'm still playing too! Not much luck with shiny regionals but did get 1 Unown from a hatch.

I finally got one unown from a 10k egg.
Haven't had any luck with regionals yet. I keep hatching Happiny's from the 7k eggs. Ah well.

After a 3star Kangaskhan and four Farfetched (which I already had a few from that event a few years ago where got
Them for a weekend) I FINALLY hatched a Tauros!!!! He?s not great (just like all of my shinies) but I will love him and cherish him and one day walk with him enough to power him up over the 1400CP he currently is.

I've hatched so many Tauros (non-shiny of course) that I've started sending them off to the great candy maker in the sky.
On the plus side, no problems with the MewTwo raid hour last night, snared a shiny MewTwo out of it (though technically the raid had started before the raid hour) and then this morning I hatched a Hundo Happiny.

Congrats on the shiny MewTwo Burn! I just have a regular one (thanks to my hubby).

The Tauros and Mr Mime still elude me. Got several Kangashan and Farfetch'd... which I have loads of since I lived in Asia... sigh.
Having said that, it is nice to see new Pokemon in the wild to catch with the new region releases.

As a sidenote if anyone wants to add my husband, who is currently a hardcore player, his code is 129008009026 and he's happy to have more in-game friends.

Kinda glad the regional hatching stuff is over, because after hatching over 150 eggs and getting no shinies, I was over it. Not to mention how many super incubators I burned through, was starting to become expensive.
