I'll have to post pics when I get back. Luckily otca's not blocked, but Facebook is, and so are any Google searches on VPNs or proxy servers. Snap. :p

going to be north of Brissy for a couple weeks, not the greatest internet access, it will be mostly from my phone so I don't expect to be interacting as much as normal.

6 months ago it was Dad. Now it's mum. :( Doctors have said she won't regain consciousness at this point so it's a matter if she goes in 7 minutes, 7 hours or 7 days. Won't be on the board much for a while, though will prob poke my head in now and then for a much needed distraction

I was in similar shoes around this time last year and it's horrible. The waiting around is truly the most horrible thing I've ever experienced. You have my sympathies.

But this place can be a nice distraction and it does get better.

Thanks everyone, your kind words are much appreciated.

Mum ended up going on Tuesday night. Been pretty rough, especially since alot of it was almost a carbon copy of what I went through with Dad six months ago. Have spent all week putting together photo tributes, going to the funeral home, picking a coffin and all that other fun stuff. Funeral is Monday morning. Going to be 43 degree's so that will make it an extra pleasant experience out at the gravesite. :(

Aw shit! I was the last one to make an announcement on this thread and here I am yet again :(

With my brothers funeral tomorrow and it being the 3rd death of an immediate family member in 9 months (even having the funeral and burial in the same places we just put dad and then mum) have no idea how I'm going to go tomorrow. Might be ok and chatting on here while on bereavement leave - might just lose it and write myself off for a few days sitting in the shed drinking beer and having the first smoke I've had in a long damn time. Guess ill find out tomorrow arvo

I should've said something several weeks ago. I've been having ups and downs in my life and have been extremely busy. Just last week, I had an operation on my wisdom teeth. I had all four out and it's been a struggle to get back into routine.

I'm not always going to be around, but I do my best to check and see how things are rolling around here.

Been off the boards for the last week or so. Long story short, was in and out of hospital and it's looking like I have something called Crohn's Disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crohn%27s_disease). I'm cool with it (it's kind of a pain in the ass - pun intended), but was wondering if there is anyone else on here with it or knows someone who has it that might be willing to share information?

I got this last year. And no, I didn't take it, because I don't play it... ;)

Also, was terribly sick all of yesterday. I couldn't even move without feeling like collapsing and I put my body clock way out by sleeping all day. Felt jetlagged for the rest of the night, which I was thinking was morning. I'm way better, but I have a killer cough and blocked nose. :( Have to perform in annual concert tonight as well.

I know how that feels... it really sucks... wasting so much time when you have important things to do, and throwing out your sleep pattern (and taking a while for you to feel 100% again).

I used to work with someone who had Crohn's disease. She managed it well but still had to have regular check ups in hospital and stuff. Sometimes it made her feel pretty dare I say... crap.

Definitely can relate to the last part of your post :o I actually have my specialist appointment tomorrow to go through the results of the colonoscopy. As long as I'm not told that I have to go without prawn toast for the rest of my life, it should go well :p

Ok, I've been neglecting my time from this website, mostly due to distractions and personal issues involving the death of a loved one. But I'm ok now, just that there is still one issue going on: I may have edema in my left foot. Yay.

Starting at police academy today. That means 8 months internet silence as they have upped their very strict social media policies. I can still read the forum and send PMs if anyone wants to get in touch but no public posting until August.

See you on the other side guys :D

Hi all,

We've almost completed the biggest move we've ever made. It's our second move in three years, and it happened all so suddenly. From dry Victoria (Rosedale), I am now residing in NSW, in the subtropical north east. Wow! It's really amazing here. Everything is so different. The climate, the soil, the humidity... all of my plants are doing really great here, too. I've got the acreage now to create what I've always wanted - it's a real plant lover's paradise! And the wildlife, wow.

I can't get ADSL up here so I'm on satellite broadband, which is good enough for my needs. I'll be busy for weeks I think just unpacking and sorting everything. It's a half hour's drive to the nearest town, and the part of the road I'm on is quite out of the way from suburbia so I won't be able to walk to anywhere, but that's ok. I don't know anyone in the area and until we have established ourselves here a bit more and know the area better, the internet is my only social connection for now.

I have had to stop making any Transformers purchases for a while now, as we needed to save money for the big move. We're also in the process of selling our Vic property, so until we're financially secure again, I regret to say that I won't be able to contribute much to these forums in that way. This is one of the reasons why I haven't been as active here in the past year, but also because I've been finding it hard to fit in, for a few reasons. I do appreciate everything that griffin has done for these forums and community (and thank you for that LS Shockwave I won here in that 2013 Competition that you sent me). However, at this stage I'm just not sure if it's right for me to continue to be here.

One thing I am looking forward to doing though is checking out the retail shops in Grafton and Coffs Harbour and let you guys know of any finds there.

I've enjoyed your posts here, Megatron, so your (relative) absence the last year or so and into the future will be missed.

All the best of luck with the new place! I wish you the Goldilocks amount of rain and sun (not too much; not too little) and may your thumbs be ever green.:D

Thanks M-bot! :D Of course nothing is set in stone and I may hang around a little while and see how things go. I hope to have time to contribute somehow even if it's not in the acquisitions department just yet. It's people such as yourself on forums that make that little bit of difference, sometimes. :)
