Well, my wife was in a "family excursion" mood, so we hopped on the train to town, and I ended up seeing ShinTokyo after all. Better stuff than I expected tbh, as I've never looked there since I started collecting officially (3 years ago). I didn't even consider we had a local Henkei importer (yeah, I know, pretty dumb of me =oP), and with Deluxes at $29 each (for most of them, the rest were $45 less 20%), I ended up with my first 3 Henkei figures (Galv, Smoke & Lambor). I had only chosen Galv & Lambor, my wife was digging the colour scheme of Smokescreen, which I was in two minds about (as I'm not a fan of having re-paints/moulds in my collection), but when the missus is telling you to get a Transformer, why not, eh? =oP

Funny thing; when I called 2 days ago, the guy said they had no Binaltechs, but they had Alternators. Turns out these "Alternators" they have are Binaltechs... Once again, a big rawr for ShinTokyo staff product knowledge... -.-

Finally got a day off - yay - and I went to Shin Tokyo. Picked up Encore Bruticus and Cassettes for cheaper than what it would have costed from Robot Kingdom (I was VERY surprised actually!!!) :eek:

Then I went down to Galaxy Toys... sounds like some exciting things are gonna be happening there soon... esp for those of us who collect DCUC figures (I'm looking at you Gutsman!)

But I managed to score G1 Reflector from Galaxy Toys today - I'm over the moon! He's in such good condition!!

i went into shintokyo on sunday 4th and noticed they restocked henkei mirage and i was so tempted to buy it but had already spent $400 at hlj.com (free express shipping promotion) and a few hundred from members on this forum, so decided not to.

it was marked at $39.90 and members price $34.90. i thought, i should be able to find it cheaper online.

today i was in norwood near the city, so said screw it, i'll buy mirage anyway and give shintokyo some more of my money thinking i'll support them a little since they're local.

but wtf? the price was raised by $5! I argued with the staff about this but they denied it all. annoyed by all this i left and didnt bother buying it.

so now i've decided they can go !@#$ themselves.

i actually paid $40 each for the henkei C-18/19 minibot attack/spy teams even when i knew i could get them cheaper from robotkingdom. they dont even have any chrome on them! rip off.

As for the price, maybe it was part of their sale? Maybe it was priced incorrectly on Sunday and someone else changed it? Dunno. All I do know is that $44.90 (which I'm guessing is the price you saw today) is what Henkeis usually cost there, so anything cheaper would have been a sale/mistake/bargain price.

yeah this is the only problem i've had with them so far. if they had admitted it being a pricing error then i would have been fine with that. but im pretty sure a few of the less popular henkeis were priced at $39.90 and not the usual $44.90.

This is what I dont understand... When I got mine at Hollywood 2-3 weeks back, there was at least 20 Silverbolts. Hrmm... Both comforting and disappointing at the same time. Mine fell off the second I touched it, but after some messing I got it to stay there at least. I guess being an obvious widespread issue, probably not much point returning him, as it is out of site in both modes after all, which is possibly why QC didn't care about the issue.

Very agreed, but I kept putting them off from the Movie 1 line, then missed out, and the box they were displayed in was labelled in big letters "WHILE STOCKS LAST", which suggested they weren't a standard production run quantity, so I figured I'd regret it if I waited for a sale and they sold out beforehand. Oh well, as I tell my lovely wife, I don't drink, smoke, gamble, speed, do drugs etc etc, so Transformers are a much cheaper option (comparitively) =oP Even $50 for the lot would've been nicer, but in the end, still cheaper than them seperately (Toyworld wanted $19.95 each :mad:)

Lol, funny you say that, because after I posted that the other night, I actually reviewed the instructions (I usually attempt transformation without them), and found out I am supposed to slide the little grey bits back, presenting a crab claw-like look, which I thought was quite an improvement and quite suiting, being a sea-based alt and all =oP

If people are after a particular item in a particular wave perhaps mention it here - perhaps someone else might be able to grab it for you. Some of these items can be a pain in the bum to find. Ive started a strict see it then buy it policy these days.

In the past ive sent a text out to members whos numbers ive had, just to let them know ive spotted something. Twitter might be useful too (i think Sofaman first came up with this earlier). And obviously keep an eye on this thread. Between the lot of us we cover a pretty broad area- I can even cover Mildura which has been a great asset in the past.

Oh and back on Topic.

Hi everyone,

Today i checked out Target on Main North Road (Sefton Park), Toys R Us on Gepps Cross and Big W Arndale.

Target, like the Rundle St/Pulteney St Target has the 2-Deluxe ROTF Fig Boxsets with Battle Bumblebee/Soundwave and Wheelie/Sideways. No other ROTF deluxe/voyager/leader class figures but plenty of scout figures including 1 nightbeat. Also now they're stocking these new ROTF Digital USB Cameras at like $60 each.

At TRU Gepps X there are plenty of Universe Ultra Class toys and double-voyager packs at $100! (SO EXPENSIVE :( ) and even some ROTF Voyager figs; (Stratosphere and Mixmaster). Not many deluxe figs but from what I saw there were Rampage, Bumblebee and Autobot Gears.

Finally, at Big W Arndale, there are plenty of Deluxe Animated Figures and some new Scout Class ROTF figures including Scattershot and Skystalker. I also saw some old wave Deluxe figures like Rampage and Breakaway.

They have also just put up quite a few Scattorshots and Skystalkers.

Noarlunga TRU had a few Universe Bruticus (redecoed Cybertron Scourge) and a lot of Darkwind and Countdown plus a few RotF Bumblebee/Soundwave two packs.

Big W Noarlunga Had plenty of Scouts, Mainly Scattorshot, Skystalker and Brakedown.
They also had a few legend Jolts and 5 or 6 Battle for the Cyber Planet Keys five packs.

I hope they restock more voyagers, I want Mixmaster, Demolishor and Long Haul. Though as I said there are Mixmasters left at the TRU on Gepps X. So it's just Demolishor and Long Haul left on my list. Also, what do you think I should get? Leader Class Movie Megatron or ROTF Voyager Mixmaster?

ROTF Skystalker and stax of Legends Soundwave at K-mart Colonades. Big W at Colonades had a few Deluxe Brawns and Deluxe Ratchet too. I was very excited to have finally found Brawn!

I haven't really been looking much lately due to such a lull in quality TF releases at the moment but I did notice something interesting today.

Rotf Scout class ransack repaint, with the red paint aka. red baron theme at Big W Elizabeth.
I don't think I have seen him anywhere else and its definitely a quality re-paint.
