Cheers dude, I'm trying not to as I've been bitten by the Revoltech bug but there are a couple of other MOTUC characters that I've got in mind. :o

BTW: Has anyone else received their Catra yet? I ask because my Catra has somewhat odd shading or 'tan' paint job on her legs. It doesn't show in photos but it kind of looks like she has a bit of a rash.

I am not sure if this a bad QC issue or it's just how the toy was produced (probably because Toyguru has a fetish with women that have skin conditions). A second opinion would be nice.

Also note that the sword was really warped out of the package as it's made of a really soft rubbery plastic and the rubber ties were fairly tight on it. Thankfully after a bath in hot water, it straightened out really well.

Thanks, I hope you have a nice trip there, I have never been to Canberra.

The issue is mostly noticeable in the inner arms and above the knee where the 'tan shading' ends abruptly in a straight angle making it seem as if Catra had a towel covering her thighs while sun bathing.

My Catra arrived today and looking at her the shading is a bit off but not to an insane degree. I notice her inner thighs are tan and the outer are white. I'd rather she be much paler in skin tone but I'm not going to complain because once again with a MOTUC Villainess it's love at first sight.

Mine's not to that same degree, but there is a definite fad off with the tan, on the inside of the legs and it's very strong on her kness.

It's interesting, as my previous MOTUC experiences have been pretty good. (Sy-klone, Mossman and Scareglow). I bought 2 Catras to make the postage worthwhile and I am glad I did, as one has noticebly better paint apps than the other.

C1 has a red dress and the Horde mark on her chest is a darker red, but C2 has a lighter red dress and the Horde mark has been painted, but only just and looks the same colour as the dress. Interestingly though, C2 is in the box differently too. She is posed with her body angled slightly to the left and one of her knees is bent a little. Maybe the work-experience kid did this one?

I love her cartoon 80's face so much though! this purchase inspired me to watch She-Ra, so I started this morning. My wife gave me the wierdest look:D

Faceless one will require a tiny bit of tweaking as it's not as good as he should be but I like the character enough to get him.

The only reason the MOTUC versions don't beat them out(and it's the tiiiiiiiiniest of margins) is that Panthor ain't flocked.

I had a vivid dream last night that after nearly 30 years, I discovered that if I put He-Man's hand in Panthor's mouth, it would close and make a growling sound. I did the same with Battle Cat, but it didn't make a noise, so opened the battery cover, cleaned up some acid leakage and replaced the batteries (that went in Battle Cat's bottom like suppositories.) Then Battle Cat made all sorts of noises - he talked and growled, and if I pulled on his saddle he even went "whoa!"

I remember mine costing me an arm and a leg and the one I recieved had two right hands. The problem was solved by buying a junker 200X Evil-Lyn and doing a boil and swap.
But still annoying.

Varies from toy line to toy line. The MOTUC ones you can't open without ruining the package as it's a carded figure but other toys come in boxes which open without damage (aside from the tape).

Not sure what they are doing with Voltron packaging.

I just got Chief Carnivus the other day along with Count Marzo and Clawful from Big Bad Toy Store.

He's a neat figure and Very Lion King-y. plus I love his Not-Sword of Omens.

Count Marzo is a nifty figure as well And Clawful if pure vintage goodness, along with offering a sack of Dr. Zoidberg jokes for MOTU comedy if I ever get off my but and do my toy webcomic.

Yeah, Toyguru was making a big deal out of it as if it was the best thing ever. As release time came I was actually thinking that it would be something like this, specially after I saw the video in which Pixel Dan removes the 'regular faces' head.

I thought it was lame and not worth the hype. Perhaps this is where Battleground's Evil-Lyn's dress budget went ;)

I totally disagree with these sentiments about the extra head - it's far more interesting than the same three faces I've had for nearly thirty years. It's something new, and since the Man E Weapons acessories have already been released, it's appropriate. I do think the Orko face should have been Beast Man since it was more important plot-wise and it would have been a better homage to the first three non-convention MOTUClassics toys. But I love the Skeletor and He-Man heads. It's also fantastic that Man-E can finally turn his helmet left and right and hold his gun in both hands at once.

I managed to avoid the spoilers until mine arrived!
I like the idea of secret accessories regardless of what they are really. In this day and age, everything is known, reviewed and forgotten before i even get my hands on something (thanks to the internet).
I'd like every figure to have something secret, even if it's just an accessory most would expect (since i'm personally not 100% familiar with all of them anyway). At least then i feel like im getting something new instead of something i digested on the net months ago!

In this case, i would have liked to see Beast Man for the same reason Sky Shadow said, but Orko's colour scheme actually works nicely!
I doubt i'll display mine with the alternate heads either, but it's a nice inclusion that i think is indicative of the levels of fan-service this line gets, despite all the complaints.

Yeah, 200x figures are mostly about the sculpts than actual playability. Too bad Mattel ended up ruining it with lousy decisions during the 2nd half of the line.

The Skeletor you got is the one that came with the Battle Ram Chariot. It is my least favorite rendition of the 'basic' Skeletor figure as it has a rather plain paint job. I am also not a huge fan of the 200X He-Man sculpt and prefer the other characters. I can tell you that overall, they are not great examples of the line although they do give you an idea on articulation as they are all the same.

If your He-Man (or Skeletor) can't hold his accessories correctly, it could be that the hands have 'opened' a bit. You can fix that by submerging the hand in boiling water for 20 seconds which will make it really rubbery. Then close the hand a bit and put it in cold water where it will become solid again.

Hey guys, this is a huuuge ask but is anyone able to order me a Bubble Power She-Ra and Swift Wind tonite/this morning? I've been saving for weeks and ironically the Kamen Rider toys I pre-ordered arrived and they charged my credit card for them so now I can't get them. Please pm me if you are able to do this so we can discuss payment.

For some reason I have been charged twice! The Mattycollector website would not check out but then the page reloaded with an empty cart (I never received the 'Order completed' screen) so I figured that the order didn't go through and tried again.

Suddenly I was charged twice for two different orders when I only saw one 'order completed' screen! I called Matty to cancel the order but the support person just told me that they couldn't do anything about it!

I only made one order yet got charged twice due to a website glitch. I should get my money refunded not told 'too bad we can't do anything about it' by the support staff, specially when I called right away.

I now have been charged $134 for stuff I never ordered! I have been taken for the Ass!! I made an order of two each to help Tallestblue but that order somehow went through twice leaving me with two extra sets of unwanted toys :mad:

I have also sent them an email but it probably won't get read until after the order gets shipped so I am screwed either way.

I am most likely going to end up with extra 2xShe-ras and 2xSwiftwinds so if anyone wants a set at cost please let me know.

I contacted Matty again and demanded to talk to a supervisor. He said that if I reject the package upon arrival, it will be sent back to their warehouse and once received, I would automatically get a refund...This sounds a little weird to me so I am not sure if it would work as they say.

I contacted my bank too but the orders are still stuck on 'pending' and they can't do anything about it until they do. Otherwise I need to wait for them to clear and then open a transaction dispute which could get messy and take a long time.

I contacted my post office to see if it was possible to reject the package and if it would get back to the sender. They said yes, so maybe what the Matty supervisor said is possible but I still have my doubts.

All I can do is hope for the best but the cleanest solution would be if I can find local buyers but I am sure anyone who wanted one has already ordered from Matty We'll see what happens.

Thanks. We'll see what happens with the supposed Matty refund once it arrives. If I end up with the two spares, I'll let you know but I prefer to sell him with She-Ra as the appeal of that figure is her being able to ride the Pegasus unlike the first release.

However in the event that I can secure local sales for both the spare She-Ras & Swiftwinds, I will accept the order instead of seeking the refund.

To avoid confusion, this is what happened:

I ordered 2x She-Ra, 2x Swiftwind (the extra was for Tallestblue)

Matty Screw up happened and a second order occurred for the same figures and quantity.

So I end up with two orders:

Order 1: 2x She-Ra 2x Swiftwind (for Tallestblue and myself which is what was wanted)

Order 2 (screw up): 2x She-Ra 2x Swiftwind (replicated order so they are useless spares).

These leaves me with 2 of each figure as spares.

Personally I'm counting this as "Battle Armour" She-Ra as I've got BA He-Man riding Battle Cat and BA Skelly riding Panthor, so it just makes sense for the display. Hope that helps!

I actually received 2 sets since DR doubled the order. The other two sets arrived the following day. Unfortunately all the spares are now taken :(

I think it's too quick for the delivery bounce back to have reached Matty already. I think that they have ran out of stock and may be refunding you or they have just stuffed it up.

From what can be read at He-Man.org, DR is highly incompetent and often they would randomly cancel orders (or subs) by mistake or if you ask them something simple like a change of address, chances are that they will stuff it up and cancel your order instead.

Tried it. Putting the wings on Swiftwing was ridiculously easy. All you need to do is align the 'nut' shaped peg onto the socket and push with a bit of strength and it will click in place.

I have also realized that I no longer have any room to display more MOTUC figures. I needed to re-arrange my shelf just to fit Swiftwind in and it has begun to look crowded instead of stylish.

I made her more 'perfect' than that. The original She-Ra face sculpt wasn't that great and the new one is a lot better so I removed the 'wigs' and changed them. It was much harder than I thought as both heads are differently sculpted and don't fit the other's wig without making modifications.

Catra's own horse, Storm has black hair and red/silver/white wings. Of course he has a white body too. I'm hoping he and Shower Power Catra are made soon.

There was a huge months lasting uproar at He-Man.org when it was revealed that she was mostly a repaint of the first release MOTUC Evil-Lyn/Teela and did not come with her 200x dress.

People wanted the 200x dress because it was different as the vintage (and MOTUC) release was basicaly a repaint of Teela.

They were also upset that by using the repaint, her dress no longer resembled the armor of his father, The Faceless One, who happens to have the proper armor in MOTUC.

Strangely enough, the mailer box is a new design and not tape sealed.

A lot of people on he-man.org protested against this set as they considered it too girly while others saw it as pointless as they are very obscure characters that nobody really asked for. I personally did not mind them but had no desire for them either so was thinking of selling them at cost but I am not sure yet as they have kind of grown on me.

Unlike other people at he-man.org, my star sisters don't seem to have any identifiable QC issues and the face sculpts and 'lumpy' crotch are not as bad as they looked in photos. They also have a lot of new tooling so certainly despite it's poor reception, a lot of production costs went into it.

Well they are certainly much better than I expected. The face sculpts are pretty good and different from one another yet with enough similarity for them to pass as sisters. Glory bird has more paint apps than one would expect and Jewelstar and Tallstar have a type of metallic 'shiny' paint that looks good in person but doesn't exactly translate in photos.

I think that you will be surprised.

There is of course the inherit mold flaws but they are not that pronounced as the photos would have you think, well, at least from inside the packaging.

Tallestblue - that's a great shot of the Horde - they look so good together. Even five years ago I would never have imagined an official 'Filmation' Catra and Shadow Weaver.

I called them asking to explain the email and the girl I spoke to wasn't sure so she assumed that I had returned it which I did not! Plus for international orders, it is a bit too early for it to have been returned so it sounds like it never even got to Australia!

I repeatedly asked her if they had any customer service stock but she was unable to answer. All that she could say was that "I will be emailed back in 5-7 days by the escalation team".

Now there is a strong chance that I have missed out on Kobra Khan!

Even if I was still Cherry Picking, Cobra Khan was going to be a must buy.

I am really annoyed as Cobra Khan has a huge chance of having been completely sold out by now with no customer service stock. Assuming that they are not lying like they normally do and someone does call me in about a week, I am very doubtful that they would have a figure to send me.

If no one contacts me or if I don't get Cobra Khan, I will be forcing them to cancel the sub as they themselves have breached the contract of 'Every figure is guaranteed'.

Nothing, as the most recent order I placed is using the same address I have always used. It's a screw up that is hopefully isolated to this sub figure.

It seems that Kobra Khan package never actually made it to Australia and for whatever reason, they marked it as 'returned' and never bothered to check with me if I wanted a refund or for the figure to be sent out again. It seems that they have a retarded policy that any figure that comes back to them is a 'returned' figure as in defective and needing a refund without taking into consideration that something may have gone wrong along the way specially since the figure seems to stop at up to 5 different countries before making it to Australia.

They are just morons and hopefully they'll fix it up but I don't think it affects any other order. My biggest fear at this point is that they no longer have any CS stock of Kobra Khan and I have missed out on it and on top of that, broken their deal on 'Every subscriber is guaranteed every sub figure for the year'.

It seems that if you have a sub, you expose yourself to more problems as I never had this many issues when I was just buying at Day of Sale.

My own self reason told me not to buy a sub but the lure of Shadow Weaver was too great and now I am paying the price - Literally as I have already lost $10 on this.

Got my Stinkor the other day. Pretty fast considering how slow it's been all year.

My God those forearms are even worse in person :eek:. I honestly thought that, although I was annoyed, maybe I could live with them. But they are terrible... Really awful. whether you believe it was a deliberate decision or not (I don't!), how ToyGuru has convinced anyone that it was a good idea is beyond me :rolleyes:

There are always people like that who will blindly follow and defend authority regardless of how abusive it may be. Scott has set himself up as 'the king' of the MOTUC line and people will defend him to the bitter end just because he is in charge and providing them figures no matter how much he may abuse his position. You will also notice that those same people have a deluded view that Scott/Mattel is 'doing us a favor and that we should be grateful for anything they give us' mentality as if we are a charity case rather than customers paying good money for supposedly premium products.

People have been like that for centuries and all the tyrants in history (and now Corporations) have always taken advantage of that.

Thanks to enjoying the old cartoon again I finally bit the bullet and bought Classics He-Man on ebay. If I'm happy with it I'll get Skeletor as well. Maybe Battle Cat too but no more. I spent too much on MotU200X to start again with Classics. :o

Did anyone else get the new digital comic (http://www.comixology.com/Masters-of-the-Universe-1/digital-comic/DIG001567)? If you don't want it, you can at least click preview to see a few pages and get an idea. It's by Geoff Johns, so it should be no surprise that it features Sir Laser Lot. It's... almost okay. It's definitely not fun and it's not nostalgic - for a 'spotlight' story I would have preferred something that read like an old minicomic - sadly they made far more entertaining comics as a free pack-in than this. This should have made me excited or had a 'wow' moment or some fantastic 'Easter eggs', but it just doesn't.

There's an Eternia map, Beastmen and references to Scareglows and (sigh) the amazing Agent Spector, all of which are a bit meh. And evil Evil Lyn and Mer-Man look... unnecessarily different. I do like Sir Laser Lot's mace and Hordak's or Horde Prime's skull seems to play a role in the series, which could be interesting - certainly that's the highlight of the issue in terms of hope for a decent series. The best thing this does is give Sir Laser Lot an identity, which should help sales and enables us to 'care' about the toy (although bizarrely, it also seems to contradict Laser Lot's own bio.) Naturally I'll keep reading these, because any MOTU comic is better than none, but I do hope they get better.

The Griffin is actually very impressive, photos don't do it justice. The detailing and paint job is at the same level as the Stactions, actually, the overall look is very 200x looking to the point that I think it fits in better with that line.

200x Beast Man would probably be more to scale too as the Griffins in the 200x cartoon were huge.

The first batch of Reissues with corrected shoulders and no eye "make-up" seem to not have this problem. Though I assume they're rather expensive now.

scored me a 99% complete Grayskull weapons rack accessories set up.(no flag though)
and no, the missing 1% is NOT the pistol!!! (took me 10 years, finally got one!) the extra spear, mace and sword make up for the missing part. 10 points for whomever guesses what is missing without resorting to a web search!
Still displays good though.
