Not really, while the prices are more realistic for what the products are the speed series is usually about $10 or so, the alpha series are bigger than the regular authentics and haven't been anywhere else locally.

Toymate in Lake Haven NSW are having a closing down sale with everything reduced.

Some of their TFs are way overpriced so the discounts only mean they become normal price, but some others are worth grabbing.

Indeed.
Last year they were talking up their big expansion plans into QLD, WA and VIC... but if they are having to close stores, maybe they over-extended themselves while trying to fill the void left behind by ToysRUs.
Hopefully it is just a single, non-profitable store. (it's still not good to hear about any regional stores deciding to close due to insufficient sales)

They seem to have bought out a lot of the old TRU stock, and let me tell you whoever was ordering stock for TRU must have had a hole in their head. Even at a discounted price, I don't know how they think they're going to moving 25 Titans Returns Sky Shadows at $40 AUD, in Perth, from a retail location.

There's a toymate in Tuggerah too, which isn't too far from Lakehaven also the Lakehaven Toymate was tucked away out in the back carpark of that shopping centre.

Not the sort of clearance pricing usually in this topic (a store reducing the price of stock they originally had for much more), but there have been a couple of sightings in different states, of $12 Last Knight Deluxes at Coles (they were never at Coles, and this sort of thing should have ended up at the Reject Shop or TKMaxx).
Apparently there is not a lot of stock being found... and it seems that Hasbro must have ended up with a lot of leftover stock with retailers facing two Movie toylines following in quick succession (Studio Series and Bumblebee Movie), so either cut back on the older toyline or delay the introduction of the new toyline until the old one is sold out (something that Hasbro and Paramount wouldn't have wanted).

Once again the clearance pricing is what they should have been all along. Still $5 for a bot bot (that you could identify with a code who was inside) was/ is a better deal than most other size classes and way superior to a single collectible LEGO minifig for the same price. So is it just Toymate/toyworld/uncle Pete?s, big w and target the only stores stocking bots bots now?

At full RRP there are about a gazillion better games you could spend your money on. At $15 I think it's fairly priced.

Then it dropped to $59 due to overstock so it was even better. Now at just $34 it's definitely a bargain, given that it's still a great toy.

Buy another one Kyle for MISB, or for the kids and say "This was my toy when I was young." $50 is $89 is today's money, so $34 is very good. Too bad I was out of Transformers before Beast Wars came along, so no interest for me. It's a shame that BW didn't do for Big W what the G1 reissues (Prime, Soundwave, cassettes, mini-cars) did for Kmart last year - I think only Prime, and maybe Soundwave, lasted till clearance despite the G1s being overpriced too.

What to do with an extra Screamer? Spare? Plane mode only? Thundercracker custom (with no arm guns, ha ha)?

I only bought Hot Rod from JB a few days ago for $65. You have to get Hot Rod delivered from Big W and they weren't the best at packing my Thundercracker I got from them.

I saw in Kmart near me on Friday that they had a lot of clearance tags in the Transformers section... which for some items, no more new waves (unless their main warehouse was already sitting on them and they still hit some stores later).
It is also possible that the later waves are in the country, but Kmart have stopped buying them from Hasbro.

It isn't a good sign to have Kmart no longer selling at least two sizes of Earthspark, since that is still the current TV toyline for Transformers.
And even though I expect retailers to start winding back on ROTB inventory, it isn't good to still not see a lot of the toyline beyond wave 1 here.
