Amazon.co.jp black ROTF optimus prime question

Hi,

For those who bought black rotf prime from Japan amazon, have you found this toy has lower quality than original colour prime sold in Kmart?

Coz mine definitely is. Surface is not smooth, but rough with many scrach lines. :mad:

This is not the first time I found "exclusive"s had lower quality than original ones.

Mould degradation is the likely cause. By the time an exclusive is produced, the mould has been spitting out hundreds of thousands of toys already.
Unfortunately it's to be expected of store exclusives, in terms of sculpt-wear and panel scratches (and even parts or weapons not fitting properly), but usually the reason why people buy them is for the rarity and/or colour scheme.

(I think it was the Gen1 Jazz mould that had to have the face resculpted because the mould had too much wear on it to see the face anymore)
