Un-freaking-believeable! I scanned the 2-pack at a local K-mart & it came up as $50! What a bloody rip-off!

I've noticed K-Mart's new mgmt seems to be lagging behind. They're supposed to be wanting to lift the retailer out of its woes. Not moving w/ Myers/Target etc. is a bad move. Myers is a major department store that is further up the chain that K-Mart yet is offering lower prices now. That's just abysmal.

But I guess the benefit is that they do more regularly have sales than the other places hence maybe why they charge more.

Uncle Petes Castle Hill has restocked on Animated Deluxes... seriously. They have buttloads. They also had the Universe "G1 style" Legends Starscream (repaint of Cybertron Legends Thundercracker) - only one there. Castle Hill Target had a few Voyagers, but no Deluxes.

I saw my first big chain store stock at Target, Wave 1 Voyagers. Toyworld has the entire first wave and so does TRU.

I can't believe that Melbourne has Ratchet and Blackarachnia already! Gosh. I can't keep up! The jealousy tears me up :P

I saw pretty much of what Soundwarp has above at toyworld today. I didn't see the voyagers though as I didn't really look too hard. I'm not too interested in the toys for this line atm anyway. I'm only going to get a very select few, and those arn't out yet.

Getting back on topic, I scoured Parramatta Westfields for new Animated stuff - and there was zip. Which was really annoying cos I'm walking on a pair of very sore legs atm (the result of having resumed training after having over a month off :/). Blacktown Kmart has the 1st Wave Animated stuff, including the leader vs pack, but it's in the special toy sale section, not in the regular action figure aisle.

Good choice. I reckon though if u want the best prime, grab Henkei Prime. Voyager Earth mode ain't worth it unless it's sale price. Cybertron and two-pack Prime are great tho.

Kmart Airport West has lots of animated in stock including, everything released here so far, including the 2 pack, Voyager Prime and the Deluxes mentioned above.

Target Blacktown has LOTS of Animated carded figures (Waves 1 and 2) and the Leader 2 pack. Can't remember if they had any Voyagers.

But the trick is this - they're NOT in the toy section! They're shelved in Electrical Appliances! I only noticed because my wife was browsing there yesterday... otherwise I would've completely missed it! There's also lots of Deluxe Star Wars Transformers there too. Also, none of these Transformers have any price tags on the shelves. I didn't try to scan any of them to see if they're on the database. Quite strange!

The actual action figure aisle in the toy section only has movie Transformers.

I wonder if Hasbro are aware of this...

Nope, nope, it's a legit alright. But better to wait for retail. the Animated toys aren't flying off the shelves as quick as the TFM stuff did last year. And I don't think that's likely to change. They're moving faster than say Cybertron but most places have enough around.

Plus, waiting means you can reallocate that money to something else instead in the meantime. :)

I know the Henkei one is probably better and easier to get but I have nearly the whole set of the Hasbro Classics wave . My Classics collection would have the charm of a cheshire grin with one front tooth missing.

Well if basics/scouts retail for $15-$17 locally, $20 isn't too bad for the Activators. Or so that's what I tell myself as I picked them up yesterday. :p

I must say the Bumblebee Activator is much better than the deluxe version. Perfect colours, great plastic and perhaps up to scale with the rest. I love the engineering on these things. Especially Bulkhead since he pretty much goes right into robot mode at a push of a button. Might pick up doubles, maybe triples when they come out locally.

Found the Animated Bumper Battlers at Kmart Browns Plains yesterday, during their 25% off sale. Regular price is $15 though, which I thought was rather pricey, but these have a US retail price the same as Deluxes (US$10). It actually shows what our Deluxe size retail price SHOULD be in this country at the moment.
That store also had most of the rest of the first two waves as well, including Voy Optimus and Ratchet/Blackarachnia.

Fraser's Cycles at Taren Point has pretty much everything sighted so far, except some Deluxes. Their prices are steep, but they have a fair range of Animated stock, for anyone interested.

I think it's shaping up to seem like Myer has two pricing tiers, as these higher prices aren't everywhere.

Kmart Blacktown has moved most of their Animated stuff to the overflow area, and let Universe 2.0 take over the tiny messy little area in the toys section.

They had oodles of stock though:
Wave 1 and 2 Deluxes, Voyagers and the 2 pack in abundance in the overflow area.
Activators and Battle Bumpers take up about half of the TF section in the toys area.

Target Blacktown had the Animated 2 packs, nothing else but movie stuff, and Blacktown Big W have no Animated at all.
