10 Gold Voyager Optimus toys as prizes in Malaysia

At a convenience store chain in Malaysia called MyNews, they have a promotion for June, that has 10 Gold chrome Voyager Optimus toys as random draw prizes, for people who purchase a minimum amount of Transformers toys from their stores (being a convenience store, it looks like they only stock RID Tiny Titans, Movie Tiny Turbo Changers, and Alt-Modes).

Usually when these things show up in one "Hasbro Asia" country, they appear in others, and up to 100 are produced... so keep an eye out, some might show up in Australia for a Movie competition.

The contest entry conditions seem pretty reasonable. RM30 isn't a lot of money, it's roughly the equivalent of $10.

It is true that it is indeed cheap to enter, but the choice of items you need to buy aren't the best at being an incentive (most fans wanting that golden Optimus wouldn't be too interested in those three items, and RID Tiny Titans are almost 2 years old, so most serious collectors who wanted them, would have them by now), and these particular items are probably at the expensive end of the range of Malaysian retailers (as you'd expect from a convenience store).

It would be like if Coles here had that promotion and all they were selling at the time were $10 RID Tiny Titans from last year (usually $5 elsewhere) and $15 Rescue Bots figurine 2-packs (about $9 elsewhere). You'd probably buy enough for one entry to see if you get lucky, but very few people would be willing (or need) to buy a lot of them, unless they REALLY wanted to win one, at any cost.
