It's even worse.
I just bought Breakdown from my local (Mildura) JB Hi Fi (now that the listing is back and JB has stock). Well, I say bought; I've paid for it, and they're getting one in (they have no stock on hand, and the 4 they've already got on the way, a full case of course, have apparently already been sold to someone - sounds like the scalpers are getting in on this one...). Anyway, I ordered it in the store, but first I had to get through the staff member's refusal to believe that I could not order it online for click and collect at the store. I explained that it (the website) never, ever allows me to use the click and collect option. In the end she placed the order, but still didn't believe me.
Anyway, I've just checked (again), and no, their site will not permit me to buy it with the clock and collect option - when I choose that at checkout, it simply tells me that one of my items (there's only one item, of course...) cannot be delivered via click and collect.
Hey Griffin, how do arrange pre-orders without paying? I wasn't given the option.
*wrong thread*
Well, the good news with Breakdown is that they are starting to appear at JB stores in fairly decent numbers in the last couple of days.
The Miranda store had 4 of them tonight... and they weren't there two days ago. (along with most of the other Legacy toys that were to come out April 1st, including Core Grimlock)
Yeah, it apparently requires the order to be placed by the staff member in a special way to have it show as a no-deposit pre-order... and one time the staff member needed to call over someone else to figure out how to do it. Fortunately I had a previous order receipt for them to look at, as it may have had something on it to let them know how to enter in the pre-order.
Once you get it done once, you will be able to tell them with confidence that it can be done... so maybe try to convince them that it can be done, as you know others do it, or, bluff them into figuring it out by telling them that you had it done last time.
I think it is worth doing if you can, as it means giving you more time to save up if you have a big order and you can't afford it now (and you don't want to miss out on any limited items)... but it also means that it is less hassle if that store doesn't get everything in and you need to have a credit processed.
Has Studio Series leader class Snarl shown up at all on JBHiFi?
Not yet. But JB doesn't seem to list things quite that far off (Amazon has it for an August release date).
Thanks JJJ
