I'd like to say it was a surprise you bought the girlie bracelets but it's not:p:D

Feel like several Christmas's came at once today! :D

Very fast first impressions:
Cliffjumper: Fun transformation, amazing lack of kibble, best Autobot so far
Bumblebee: Gorgeous bot mode, bleh alt mode, AMAZING light piping on the eyes, plastic is solid but feels like you could break him due to poor design (had to use a gateau fork to split the chest pieces), wish more parts locked in place
Prime: Ridiculous level of detail in bot mode, the legs are blue NOT purple *phew*, so damn solid and sturdy, rubbish sword
Bulky: Shiiiiny, face sculpt better than expected, odd leg proportions, not as fun to play with as Cliff, Vehicon and Prime but not as lame as Bee, TFA Bulky remains king!
All in all, I'm super impressed with these toys so far. Even the ones that aren't all that fun to play with imo (Bee & Bulky) are still amazing to look at. In terms of flat out fun, I still can't go past Vehicon. His transformation is simply epic!
Nice stuff there, man. Great collection all round!
But............I HAVE to say it. I see Lion Voltron, but no Vehicle Voltron. That's just plain unacceptable. :P
Nice collection of the Titan stuff. :)
The thing to keep in mind for the Earthforce material Titan collected, is that it's NOT at normal tpb size. It's at 'digest' size, so a little bit smaller than your average manga, dimension-wise.
Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing, as the art isn't that detailed, it was originally in black and white anyway, and the lettering isn't that dense, so it's all still easy to see and read.
It is a tad annoying to read, as the paperstock is VERY thick. It's almost card-like. Once you get used to that, they're fine though.
The material itself (which I assume you've read anyway) is pretty good, so I think they're worth it, especially considering that IDW will take at least 2 years to get to it, if sales hold on UK Classics (absolute guesstimate on my part, but surely at least 18 months?)
I wouldn't pay too much for them, but for now, I reckon they're worthwhile.
Fresh from Japan
- it feels so good to finally have another Transformer purchase since the last in December and .. October.

Doubledealer - those all Japanese versions of Prime toys?
Thanks to Sarquiss for this guy:

And wow! only 3 days of February and it's already 5 pages long!
Doubledealer: Gah, I see TakaraTOMY didn't fix the problem with Bumblebee's breast plates as I had hoped they had (since the toy is packaged in robot mode with the little breast panels split). :( Oh well, glad I didn't get a TakTOM FE Bumblebee then (cos I already have the HAS version)... the only thing about the TakTOM version that vaguely interested me was the possibility of improved breast panels. But if you had to use a tool to pry them apart, then they sound just as bad as on the Hasbro version.
Strange isn't it, worst case of cosmic tightness I've seen since TFA Ratbat (whose head I clean snapped off on first transformation ). See Gok, this is what happens when Ratchet isn't included in the first lot of figures. Who's gonna fix them??
Is it possible to split the Hasbro Bee chest or are you (understandably) too scared to try? Main reason I bought the Takara version was for the richer yellow paint job (I could be wrong but from pics the Hasbro version looks duller like Classics Sunstreaker is to the Henkei version). How about that lightpiping on Bee though...Glorious, simply glorious!
I tried it with a small blade and one breast panel opened, but the other one barely budged a teeny bit... so I thought "bugger it"... just not worth the effort/grief for such a minor part of the transformation - you can still form the basic robot mode without it. And I don't want to be doing this every time I transform this toy to robot mode, especially in the middle of a toy play campaign... it'd interrupt the play something chronic.
Didn't look too different to me. In fact, one Japanese TF fan who was with me at the last Osaka meet thought that he was looking at an imported Hasbro version, until I pointed out the Japanese text on the packaging. He was surprised that the toy looked so "Hasbro." But admittedly neither of us had a Hasbro Bumblebee on hand for a direct comparison.
Well yeah, he does have those massive Sailor Moon eyes. :p
I don't want to hear excuses, I want to see results! ;)
Another most magnificent acquisition for the MISB Elite Guard arrived today. Why can't every Transformer have this many paint apps?
http://i661.photobucket.com/albums/u...ler_83/bee.jpg
Wow, Prime looks sweet. Loving those colours. Kinda makes me wish I got the Takara version instead of the Hasbro.
I'll consider reselling my FE when he arrives and buying that one if I can find it.
In other news, both of these beauties arrived this week.
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...t-Cyclonus.jpg
Cyclonus has, by far, the best alt mode I've seen in a long tie. So much detail and such a cool overall design. His left hip was slightly out of it's socket when he arrived and now moving that leg around causes it to work it's way out of the socket, which is a bummer. This is my second one though, so my good one will be preserved in storage and this one will be for making "shooom" noises and playing around when nobodies's looking :p
Lugnut is awesome, Bot pics will come when I've finished his repairs.
My Takara BW Megatron vs Primal pack also arrived :D. I got it mostly for the megatron, but I was very interested to see that Primal has all his maroon parts moulded in sparkly translucent plastic.
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...earplastic.jpg
I'm not sure how I feel about this... especially after the uproar that TFP Prime has clear plastic in his elbows. I hope the Takara Primal doesn't have the same disintegration issue as the Hasbro Megs.
And these!
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...tWarsCards.jpg
I have no idea what they are. The seller threw them in with my takara set. :)
Still tossing up if I'll open them.
So I'm feeling pretty stoked this weekend :D
Together at last!
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...n4all/Trio.jpg
You're not bothered by the "openness" of the back?
Refund/exchange it dude. :)
Pfftt... so let them look. I make noises, voices, actions in public. ;)
You should be okay. The disintegration issue has only been reported to occur in Hasbro Megatron and not Takara; it seems that Takara used better quality plastic than Hasbro on their Metals Megatron. Also the deterioration occurs in the brown plastic, not the clear one. It seems to suffer from similar frailty as the gold plastic used in some G1, G2 and BW toys (e.g. Slog, Bristleback, Pyro, BW Grimlock etc.)
Ah yes, I have two of those sets. ;) (one opened, one sealed) -- yours is already of the box anyway, so you might as well open them. I don't even know if keeping the sealed in box makes them worth more (is there much demand for these cards?)... I just happened to have two sets (they were pretty cheap when they came out, and I 'em for free anyway :p) so I opened one box and keep the other sealed. :p I'd open them if I were you though. Buy some nice collectible card-sleeves and a ring-binder folder for storage/display. :) (that's where I keep all my cards including JP tech spec cards) They give you some cool bits of info like certain characters' height, weight etc.
The paint on all the Takara Prime FE toys is amazing, they've used really vibrant and rich colours that make the toys "pop" on the shelf. :) No Hasbro grey in sight!
Mmm, two of my all time favourites right there! I think that Cyclonus is the best out of all 3 paint variants, and the rub sign just looks perfect on this toy (mine is permanently glowing due to the heat here :p). Great purchases there!
Wow, I haven't posted an acquisition in quite some time. More lack effort and time :p
But this is worthy of a post, I now am the proud owner of my holy grail lol :p
But pictures will follow tomorrow because I am too tired, and lazy to do em now :D
Stuff I picked up last night but couldnt show pics because I misplaced the tablet half of the laptop :D
Top row: DI stage for figmas, complete Fate/Stay Night Nendoriod Petit collection, Nendoriod Saberlion (been looking out for one of these for ages).
Second row: MIB Gilmer with unused paperwork (last Decepticon Pretender I have been looking for) and #16 MIB Megatron with paperwork (very nice and seems unused/with blue legs).
Third row: FE Cliffjumper and Vehicon (for some sad person on the forum) and small figure of Eucliwood Hellscythe.

Forgot to put into the picture but I grabbed another set of Go-Shooter rings (MOC) because someone got jealous and he wants a set too :D
And another board member who wont be mentioned secretly loves 'Hello Kitty' so there is something for him too :D:D
Oh wow, I just assumed he was referring to me...
:p
Hey hey hey... don't forget PreCure love!
CURE http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...per_wrists.jpg PEACHI! :D
Hehe, this cool little bloke arrived today from eBay HK:
- Transformers: Animated, Activators - Soundwave! :D
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...-06-ACQ-01.jpg
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...-06-ACQ-02.jpg
...And in a bit of a Father/Son moment:
Soundwave or Soundblaster?
I actually spotted Soundbaster activator and again was thinking of you :D
My Titan TPB Dark Star has arrived... from Amazon - it's a non mint condition copy- which was the cheapest in the list. Actually it's a UK library copy, still has the library borrwing slip attached in the first page:o
Unfortunately the local postie saw it fit to FOLD and JAM the parcel :mad::mad:( as it was not sandwiched in two hard cardbacks) in my letterbox which added a n offending crease in the very middle of it . This thing is soooo C4-5 in grade now:(:(.... Ah well Im just glad I have it... Ill most likely replace this with a far better one when I chance upon it in my internet trawling.
Got this in the mail today
http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/...06022012p2.jpg
Sheet of metal Transformer logo stickers.
(RTS Legends Megs is there to show how small these are )
Got the two G1 items from Umeda Mandarake when I was with our resident Osaka OTCA member Odie. Could not resist the Megatron even though I already have him.
Still have one more day in Osaka before I take the train to Tokyo which I have seven days there and the good part is, the hotel I am staying at is one stop away from Akiba.
Awesome! Heh know how that feels, cannot resist just one more -Good luck in Akiba that the best mandarake in my opinion. There is another shop there that had g1s in the window but it closed at 5pm the days I was there. Its on the way to mandarake from the station but thats all I remember :o
^^^ actually i found stuff in osaka were generally cheaper than Tokyo but that was years ago...
got these in the mail last week... very happy... bought them back b4 christmas!

Also thanks to tropisetron:

Yeah, G2 Sideswipe is my favourite of the G2 repaints -- but for whatever reason he was a peg-warmer (which was good, cos I got him heaps cheap when stores slashed prices to try to move dead stock ;)). The massive hurt-your-eyes neo green gun is an eyesore... but hey... it was the 90s. :)
