NIce, thanks for sharing!.. OOOhh letterbot! one of my biggest regret not buying them when they came out, they're very rare nowadays. Used to have W and O ( or was it a U) but lost it when i was a kid.... wish I could a complete set

Very nice collection. I like how you've used the meal tray as a display piece behind MP Prime.

Love Pinhead too I picked one up a couple of weekends ago for $89. The only thing I don't like about it is the voice clips... they basically just took them from the movies, background noise and all. You would have thought that they would have gone to the trouble of recording Doug's voice by itself or at least filter it...

Is that what the little bloke is called?, I picked him up at the Parramatta Collectors Fair for about a dollar I think, I just thought the idea of a Transforming letter D was cool.

I thought the Meal Tray was too cool to just have stored away and figured it would give Optimus a nice backdrop. I got Pinhead for christmas after a couple of years of just never having the opportunity to pick him up, I too was disappointed with the voice clips as they really are just ripped from the movie plus the one line I was hoping he would say he didn't have: "We'll tear your soul apart..." - Loved that line.

Yup. They go by different names actually, Letterbots, Alphabet robots, in my Phils they were locally called Letrabots, were prominent before when I was younger back in PHils and was even sold in Dept stores ( these were the fine plastic versions) alongside TFs, but as always TFs won hehehe. Their transformations are quite ingenious even though simple.

A cheaper version was actually like a happy meal toy for a local fastfood chain in Phils back then but yeah I was still young and got no money heheh. I tried looking for sets on ebay but no luck. I think sets were available a few years ago from china but that easily got sold out....

Have a chat to 1AZRAEL1 about this, he might be able to help you out with that one.

I used to have one as a kid but broke his arm off in play, I was able to collect parts of this guy from the Dapto Markets and eBay. I'm still in search for Voltron's Sword, Shield and other weapons as well as his pilots and keys.

I actually picked him up and Duke Nukem (not pictured) from the Parramatta Collectors Fair a couple of years ago for something like $8-12, the guys selling them seemed to just want to get rid of them. Unfortunately they had sold the BattleLord and the OctoBrain (Which is extremely elusive on eBay) before I had got there. You can pick them up on eBay USA-wise fairly regularly at decent prices bar shipping, that being said though expect to pay a ridiculous price for the BatteLord and OctoBrain IF you can find one.
