Re: KFC Citizen Stack:
See, I LOVE the Takara legs and feet - particularly the ankle.

Ok well, disregarding the effects this'd have on vehicle mode and transformation, this is what i would have preferred:
- No buttflap
- Blue lower legs
- Thinner side of leg armour
- More defined feet
- Red tail lights and colouring on trailer ramp.
- Slightly longer legs

See, one of the reasons I dig the chunky feet is the theatrical poster to the 1986 movie. IMP Awards has a pic: http://www.impawards.com/1986/poster..._the_movie.jpg
Yeah someone on TFW said the same thing! I can agree that the original is more accurate, but i have a personal preference for normal looking feet, not lumbering slabs :D
Totally understandable and I definitely dig your digibash. I think it likely comes from the fact that IMHO the 1986 movie is the best thing outside the toys. I never really got into the comics or anything, and as such, love the MP line for its pretty solid attempts at going G1 cartoon accurate. :P

In all seriousness, he's HUGE. If they announce Galvatron, he's mine. I still don't know if I want a standalone Magnus, as good as he looks.
I guess Im the only one who thinks he looks to plasticy and no like a collectible.
Changing colors of the legs shouldnt be an issue. Since he is all plastic, air brushing the blue on will be a simple task.
Although I wont be getting him I think they did a really good job on MP Magnus, especially compared to that CS version shown. I actually like the way they have done his feet too, I think if you make them smaller he looks unbalanced. I really wouldn't change him except as others have mentioned, the butt flap doesn't look that good but hardly a deal breaker.
One thing about making the robot mode more streamlined is... where would you put those excess parts?
Bah! - The wait for this behemoth is getting to be painful! :D
Did magnus always have a red bumper? Would prefer blue or silver.
Good looking bot otherwise
Perhaps the Hasbro version might be more toy accurate. That's what they did w/ their MP Rodimus. ;)
Here's something I quickly made to compare the G1 cartoon model w/ the MP toy.

Looks accurate honestly, we are really being picky at this point.
blue legs would be a bonus, though someone somewhere pointed out that the pieces visible in bot mode shouldn't be visible in alt mode, so stickers to cover the red is a big possibility from a 3p, i'd totally buy them as the red legs are my only real complaint with this fellow ( gotten over the odd white flaps on the legs as it seems to be fairly toy accurate and the red bumper is g1 toon accurate )
does he need bigger eyes on the toy? they look rather small compared to the cartoon?
It looks like they've done the best they can to make the toy as show-like as possible. Remember that these toys cannot magically defy laws of reality like the cartoon has. Yes, the toy has more red, but that's because the alt mode's trailer has lots of red too. In the cartoon, these reds seem to vanish or just transform into blue (Kung Pow'd!). The G1 toy is very red, whereas MP Magnus has managed to reduce/isolate the red and allowed other colours to come through, such as a blue waist and white upper legs like the cartoon (these parts were all red on the G1 toy).
It'll be interesting to see what Hasbro does with the colours for this toy. If I were them I would:
+ Make the alt mode more toy-accurate by replacing the red bumper with silver chrome.
+ Give him yellow eyes, like the G1 box art and some G1 comic appearances
+ Give him red upper legs like the original toy and G1 comic model
+ Either give him a red waist like the G1 toy, or a white waist like the G1 comic. Probably the latter.
+ Maybe even a completely blue face, like the second (and more common) variant of G1 Ultra Magnus (the one w/ the lite painted white cab robot & plastic tyres ;))
Eh... Ultra Magnus' eye shape varied throughout G1. ;)
I'm personally really stoked about this toy. I skipped the first MP Ultra Magnus, even when it became available here as a Target exclusive for $80. :o
Not at all dude, I can't wait to own this big-brute! :D
Not sure I feel the same way as yourself in regards to him looking overly platic-y tho, I do agree his shins are somewhat plain but I think I'm willing to forgive that as everything else about him makes up for it in my eyes. ;):)

on phone. image linking is a pita.
Wohoo it comes with 2 people.... Now we can all recreate our "how to kill Daniel moments" that we've been imagining for decades now. :D
It's nice that it can also house the Matrix though it won't open hehehe.
Looks plain but I hope there be decals for him too.
I wonder if that faux white Optimus Prime semi-face is readily viewable, or only if you unscrew and remove the face plate? (kinda like MP01's faux mouth (resembling Powermaster Optimus Prime's grill mouth) was only visible if you unscrew and remove the faceplate)
i want to see more detailed pics of the cab interior :)
Alt Mode is nice, those Legs are stumpy!
New pics over at Seibertron

Could someone that reads Japanese please tell us what the caption on the picture of the mutant face or whatever that is says.
This just keeps looking better and better!!
The hidden face thing is a poorly executed and unnecessary gimmick. Lovin the cab interior though!
ANyone with super photoshop skills able to do up a magnus in daiclone colours?
It kind of appears to me that there are more people here interested in Starsaber than this guy.
I am equally excited for both mps but from the people I know, a lot are giving this guy the meh... Maybe later and no rush.
I be quite sure that hasbro will colour him brighter blue like what they did with Optimus
Does this have a white MP-10 hiding inside it or is it an all new (and useless) truck mode?
I wouldn't say that the grill on MP01 is an Easter Egg, but an abandoned feature. An Easter Egg is something that you're meant to find without taking pieces apart -unless you count disconnecting the head & ripping the face plate off as one.
it's all inclusive. No white MP10
