For added fun, this time you can't tell if the shoulders are correct until you open him!
(I joke, as I assume that the shoulder issue is completely fixed on this new production run...)

Photos of Bulkhead in hand are showing up from fans in the UK
Seems to be that Pulse UK actually has it in stock now, as does In Demand Toys
I was watching this youtube video of Legacy Blaster unboxing. The window opening allows a hand reach Eject, which is held by a single horizontal plastic tie, and yank it out. I have this bad feeling people are going to steal Eject to make Rewind customs.
Apparently the QR codes on the Legacy packaging are now working, sending you to a character page.
(for anyone who has managed to get their hands on one that has already been released overseas, as we are still waiting for the toys to be released in Australia) Looks like the nine toys from wave 1 that are Deluxe and higher.
Ooh that's cool. Nice to see some Bios and stuff coming back into play somehow. Also nice to see them acknowledge the original "era." Nice to see they classed Galvatron as "City Commander" and his sub group as Herald of Unicron.
Although oddly, Arcee is a Motorcycle and Iguanas is a Motorbike. Something tells me that SKids isn't a "Turbo" car by any means. Although I know very little about the car itself. <-Never mind, I just found out its a Honda City Turbo. #imanidiot
Cant wait for Optimus and Dragstrip. Waiting to find out about wave 2 of Legacy
Primevsprime apparantly has Blitzwing from Legacy and has teased the sword/gun.

Related to Legacy, it looks like we might not see another cartoon based on Generations toys... at least on Netflix.
According to the showrunner for the WFC series who was at the recent TFCon in Los Angeles, a Legacy cartoon was offered to Netflix, but they declined to be involved.
This doesn't mean that we won't see one in some form on some other format (like Hasbro's own youtube channel), but it sounds like Netflix was the only suitable outlet that was being considered and no other options were being explored (at that time - don't forget that the first Prime Wars cartoon came out a year after the toyline).

Recently, TFcon held its springtime convention, and during that convention F.J. DeSanto, who was the showrunner for the recent War for Cybertron Series on Netflix offered up some new information. He put forth that they did have a series based on Transformers Legacy lined up, and the show was offered to Netflix, but ultimately the streaming service declined to pick it up.
If I'm being harsh, that's not really a big loss. The NetFlix shows veered into unwatchably bad territory pretty quickly.
Probably says something about the Netflix "ratings" for the previous shows.
Watched PrimeVsPrime's vid review of Legacy Blitzwing; bot mode aside, the alt modes are arguably, a mess. Jet mode looks good from above, but the kibble underneath is horrible. Tank mode is let down by the faux cockpit jutting out; cartoon accuracy or not, a more sensible design would let the user have the option of having it out or not.
We are discussing Blitzwing in the rumours section. Come join the Blitzwing discussion there until Hasbro formally announces him. :)

No, we've had all three seasons of WFC on Netflix (it ended with a set-up for another show that now seems unlikely to be made). It wasn't great, but I really don't think it deserves much of the criticism is has received (but I won't attempt to defend the direction of the voice actors - even allowing for instructions to make the diction slow and clear for children, the delivery was pretty damned sucky).
Well that's a shame. I was sure I read somewhere that they had split the season into two, sometimes Netfilx does that. Production company gives them x episodes and they decide when and how to release... Kiko for example Netflix got the whole thing... they then split it into 3 "seasons" and released them separately over the course of a year.
Given there was the precedence I pretty much believed what I read. To think that's the ending they left us with... wow. What a pile of, from start to finish. Deserves all the criticism and more in my opinion. But then, I also think I could have done a better job, so maybe I'm just delusional.
I've been following the Reddit Transformers forum lately looking at how the new Legacy packaging is fairing. There have been a few reports of missing accessories - Legacy Bulkhead's spherical mace seems like another easily stolen item. But the main and common gripe has been the flimsiness/thinness of the cardboard. That and the lack of plastic window and especially the plastic insert that reinforces the box (removed with Kingdom) and perhaps the angular box shape/crease has meant boxes are getting crushed and torn when sent in satchel mailers (many complaints about Amazon US as it often uses satchels instead of boxes). Be aware if you care about box condition.
So here's an interesting thing - Legacy Nightprowler/Sandstorm/Buzzsaw have the plastic window back. I wonder if Hasbro saw too many complaints about plastic-free windows.
They are out already! (in Taiwan)
The release date for them in America on the Hasbro Pulse website is December... so something strange is going on there. Unless Walmart is getting them in the next month or so and Hasbro Pulse isn't selling it until the end of the year?
It is indeed strange to see windows on them, after all the fuss of removing all plastic from the regular Legacy toys.
And I do expect that the boxes are less stable without the plastic insert and window to reinforce it, so a thinner cardboard (like the Vintage Beast Wars toys had) would certainly make the boxes very fragile.
I just got KD Blaster in the mail today from Amazon America in a satchel, and it certainly got a fair bit squashed, so I don't like the chances of these newer toys that don't have any plastic reinforcing them, and thinner cardboard.
(and of course, the theft of bits and pieces from inside the box will make shopping from a store more risky - as it will require us to do a bit of research to make sure that nothing is missing, by knowing first what should be showing inside the cavity of the box)
Hasbro has announced the next Fan First Tuesday is coming on the 12th of April (early morning on the 13th Australian time). Hopefully, more Legacy toys will be shown.

The Legacy version of Galvatron, next to the Kingdom version, to show what it looks like without the paint apps, and to see that the orange cannon is also missing its paint.
The Legacy version of Blaster looks to have a new face, but I guess they still had Kingdom faces left over, and it will look like a running change.
The new face has a smirk, while the old face is very serious.

Honestly, I like the new face. I hope when I get my hands on a Blaster he has a fun smirk.
When buying Blaster in-store, check that the accessories are there as they can indeed be pulled out, as shown by this Reddit user.
This was mentioned in that silly influencer round table thing: "Open box ? issues with heads removed, crushed boxes from shipping. ? Most likely not going back to plastic. Closed box an option. Balance out seeing figure and how important. Kids testing likes the open box."
I'd be curious to be a fly on the wall on this kids testing session. How old were the kids, what figures/toys were tested on them, what did they like about the open box...?
One of the Hasbro designers has posted up concept images and info on instagram on the wave 1 Deluxe Legacy toy, Dragstrip, giving us some insight on how much effort was put into its appearance for the fans, and it's combiner ability.
Quote:
Between the hardwork of @artguy101 and Takio Ejima, Dragstrip ended up being a real beauty! Dan Khana absolutely crushed the concept work done for this stunticon henchman. Its a real treat whenever I get to work with Dan, such a talented guy and he really lives for the brand, diehard fan! We talked alot about how the arm would break apart for Menasor and you can see there was a couple ideas thrown around in the up front.
Once these ideas were all sent over to Takara’s team, we all got together and discussed over voice conference calls on direction and aesthetics of the combiner. Ejima san’s engineering mind to situate the smooth locking mechanism which would then become the final Menasor arm is just a stroke of absolute genius.
You can also see me applying details at block model stage to really try to get as close to Dan’s initial art as possible, but, there were some sacrifices made to some ideas to ensure his combining ability could be the best it could be.
Also, you can see some red line drawings for adjustments throughout the process. I thought showing you how much thought and detail went into the process it’d be cool to see. There is all sorts of production limitations and parts of the process that are hard to capture here. Pulling plastics out of molds is definitely an artform of its own and a very interesting world at that.
Funny thing on the last slide is how I was thinking of maybe giving Dragstrip a sort of evil smirk, somtimes those sculpt programs run away from your idea so its good to realign and focus on alotta other aspects of the character that can help amp it up to be the best Dragstrip evahhhh!
I hope yall enjoy the insight and I hope this guy fits into you collection!
