That was lol funny.. Hanye in the background would've hoped that last bit didn't make the news. Kinda showed the elite company he was in.

Lol. Some very clever editor somewhere, who like most of us has had enough of this saga threw that bit in at the end for laughs.
I salute that man.
Yep. I applaud the man for giving it a crack, but realistically he's got next to no chance.
There's a guy that sits near me at work and he's the epitome of the aussie bogan and a big fan boy (read: homer) of Jarryd Hayne. Every time he (Hayne) gets a mention in the news, he walks up to me all proud and chest puffed out saying 'see, I told you he would make it'. Made what you idiot? It's a futures contract, he hasn't made the squad. Come and see me in September when he suits up for the Lions and plays a down then we'll talk
Oh I don't salute Hayne. I salute the editor who put that footage in at the end of the video. I give him props for trying but I think it is arrogance on his part too. My brother seems to think Hayne will make it and as much as my brother is an idiot he does know his NFL. I don't think Hayne has a chance. He can't play structured enough for NFL. I also don't think he can handle the shots he will take from the defence. I can't see him being too keen to take one up the middle right into the D-Line.
That being said I expect a big influx of Lions merch to hit our shores:p
Former NRL star Jarryd Hayne close to signing Detroit Lions deal, but still wanted in San Francisco
Oh god...
Well, you know what, I would love for that to happen if it increases the chances of the 49ers coming out here for a preseason game. We haven't had one since 1999 when Jim Harbaugh (ex-49ers Head Coach) was the QB for the Chargers and Pat Summerall (the BEST commentator in all of sports EVER - RIP) graced our fine shores. Oh, and who could forget Shannon 'Want Some Whine With That Cheese' Sharpe :D

What a glorious day :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get stuffed!
You know what's going to shit me, when I'm walking around in my Niners hat which I've worn for the last 20 years, or t-shirt, or lunch bag and thermos that I take to work, or driving around in my car with Niners stickers on it and someone saying to me "Hayne's fan?" F... off!
I say good on him
I am a die hard Eels fan but not a fan of Hayne as a human but he is a special athlete
But I don't jump on wagons... Chicago all the way, da Bears!
Oh, OK. Hop on :) But no more!
I am so conflicted about this news. On one hand, it's great for the sport here in Oz. On the other hand, I now have to put up with League fans who think they've become overnight experts in American Football when their entire knowledge of the game comes from playing Madden.
I was at a Super Bowl party in Alexandria a few years ago and there were about 800 people packed into this small little pub watching the game. Nearly 99.9% of the time, I heard someone say 'go long' or 'go the hail mary' It became a day of spot the Madden player. It was so unbearable, I went back to hosting my own Super Bowl parties.
I know it's only round 1 but Parra impressed me
Have not seen that sort of aggression from the Mighty Eels for a long time
Holy shit... Bradford out in St Louis and Foles in  The Rams might actually be good this year ;) :D
But Jimmy Graham to Seattle; that was the shocker! Seahawks can probably book their tix already to SB 50. Not going to go down well though being in San Fran
This is just crazy
"A Madison County grand jury decided against indicting any of the players involved in the incident, however, per Kocher's report." - just not right being sucker punched. You want to fight - just square off.
Ahhh, college football... where anything goes. Varsity Blues the movie is pretty spot on ;)
Goal of the year by Parker.
I've got no problem with the Tigers losing last weekend. They deserved it after being up 22-0. But I am very annoyed at the referee who made us hand the ball over on tackle 5. WTF?!?!?! NRL refs can't even count to 6?
that was a pretty big call to, not that I think the tigers would have scored with one tackle but it certainly cost them a god 20 metres in ground. the two ref system just seems to be getting worse.. there is something every week, where it almost an acceptable part of the game now when it shouldn't be.. and the nrl muzzling coaches and players now does not solve the problem
DRAGONS!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
Doggies win over the Swans in a loooong time. Yes I'm pumped.
Going to the Derby this Friday, GO VICTORY!!!!!!! :D:D:D
Western Sydney Wanderers out of the ACL despite winning 2-0 against Guangzhou Everglades :(
Bring on a squad revamp and much needed rest!
As for the remainder of the season will be hoping Adelaide beat Syd FC.
Buy the main game to watch will be the Melbourne Derby!
Also surprised to see Juve beat Real Madrid
Got my Victory/Sydney final, now Victory for the win! GO VICTORY!!!! :D:D:D
Congrats to Melbourne Victory on the win in the A-league (with Victory supporters apparently using WSW RBB chants?!)
And finally a win for my beloved Deportivo La Coruņa! Now to stave off relegation......
Not happy with WSW dropping so many of their better players. Hoping that most of them are moving onto bigger and better leagues and wont be causing us problems on opposing teams.
On the flip side, glad to be rid of Bulut and his ego.
If Victory cannot keep a hold of Archie, (they would be idiots to let him go) but he would be a perfect signing for WSW.
