Has there ever been a TF go crazy like this?
I reckon the hype over this guy is bigger than MP-10 and TC. Even though I LOVE both those figures, you can't beat the value for money for MP-13.
I think it was made bigger by the fact that we were promised this toy back in July.
..or, you know, Soundwave. ;):D
I think is basically the fact that it has all the cassettes and Takara had not reissue them is a problem, though the KOs are available the price of this soundwave you get all the originals says it all.
"Page no longer exists".... Hmmm, I guess we killed it. :p
(they don't even have the product page up for customer reviews, reference, refunds or queries... or even just in case there is still some yet to be sold somewhere in the country - TRU just don't want to have anything to do with Soundwave anymore, or all the questions)
I got mislead that the store says it hasn't arrived when it was actually sold out. Kind of annoying, but because I managed to order it, I better shut up.
Ordered on the 5th and STILL nothing. Why am I getting boned
Missed delivery y'day, got it redelivered (Canberra) and wife confirms 'an enormous box' arrived this morning (I went in with a mate and got 2).
Man is this going to be a llooooong work day waiting to get home to my soundwave (and wife and kid and all that stuff)

was delivered in a satchel overnight express. lots of dings around the corners but at least there was no crushing.
checked the invoice and mine came from MARIBYRNONG VIC
Yeah same dude i ordered on the 4th and there's been no update.
Just got a reply from Customer Service tho:
"Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for placing your Online Order with Toys “R” Us Australia.
As you know Christmas is just around the corner, therefore our stores are currently at full capacity with stock preparing for Christmas.
Due to our stores being at full capacity they are not able to accept any orders at the moment therefore there is a slight delay on your Online Order.
We just wanted to confirm with you if you were happy to wait till we can fulfill your order. We are hoping to have your order dispatched by next week.
If this is not an option for you please let us know and we can organise for your order to be cancelled and credited back to your account.
We look forward to hearing from you soon."
So yeah hopefully we all end up getting our packages soon :D
at least they are willing to fulfil it and not outright cancel. which means there might be a second run like mp-10 had.
I think it's their way of saying that they need to verify all Soundwaves are sold, before they start cancelling orders and refunding money.
Buying some time to locate the stock before they send out the 'due to overwhelming interest in this product, we regret to inform you that your order cannot be processed' email.
My box similar to Kaidens, also came from Maribynong.
Mine arrived today in good condition.
From Belconnen in Canberra!
So what about those who got a dispatched email? Is that means you will get it?
Gone.
My mate received his today, after he got the email yesterday.
I gotten my Soundwave today for WA for an online, finally worries over.
Now have to wait till my work is done and back home before I open it.
Got mine today, and sadly the plastic bag that it was shipped in was far from strong enough to protect the box. It is squashed, crushed, dented. Yet to open the box, and in all honesty I am a bit afraid to.
I am sure TRU will says that any damage incurred in transit is mine and Australia Posts fault, but the lack of any protection disgusts me, and shows TRU's lack of care for their customers.
Certainly won't be using the service again.
Should I bother sending pics to TRU and hoping they fix their postage service?
Yes. Further, if they don't ship it with adequate protection (and I could be very wrong here) but isn't it TRU's fault under consumer law?
I recently (politely) contacted Warner Interactive regarding the awful manufacturing defects on a statue that came with the new Batman Arkham game (one of two statues available).
The result? They're couriering me BOTH statues at no cost. Have never had a better consumer customer service ever.
Here's their delivery/shipping details
http://www.toysrus.com.au/delivery-a...es/w1/i1179713
I'd be contacting them only because i would expect a parcel that is being delivered, regardless of the method they use, to have the same level of quality of that which i would buy in-store.
Yes TRU postage seems pretty poor indeed. No padding, just either a box or a plastic satchel.... its luck of the draw whether you get damage or not. pity for further MP releases... wonder if we should make more noise to them collectively... they really need to pick up their game if they are gonna make the online store work.
When buying online I favour stores that only have an online presence because for the most part, they take more care in shipping their items. After all, their business is driven wholly by online sales. TRU is a walk-in store first and an online shop second, and that's exactly how they'll treat you - secondary.
I didn't see much of a choice not to order online when the stores keep having a clean shelf.
Oh and is not Australia Post is by some courier and yes TRU is under consumer law, you get better luck than Ebay complaints.
Got my delivery notification on Monday and it arrived the next day. It was shipped in sachet and surprisingly the box was flawless. Maybe the delivery person is a toy collector so it was handled with care
Both acidstorm and Soundwave came from cannington store in Perth.
Looks like they had enough sound waves for everyone.... not many posting that they missed out...
I think a lot of us had extras to pass it to people on the board from what I can see.
My guess is that only if the actual product (i.e. the toy(s)) is faulty. Like if I ordered a pair of shoes and the shoe box was dented in transit, but the shoes were fine, I doubt I could claim recompense. I know that walk-in stores don't offer discounts or anything for damaged packaging (even when it's torn), so long as the toy itself is in good condition.
Still seeking one in Vic.
