My first impression is that she'll transform a lot like Beast Hunters Starscream.

I'm reserving judgement until later.
Getting excited to Jetfire. Hopefully it lands in Australia.
Certainly has a Prime Starscream feel, so thin in robot mode, but will need a lot more pics before judgement can be made. Thruster feet intrigue me.
actually she looks abit like prime Arcee , jetfire looks really good now
Wow. Jetfire. Can't wait, he looks amazing.
Good to see her in plastic instead of a engineering sketch.
Ohh my wallet is going to be so empty this year.:o:o
Jetfire looks great. Windblade actually looks better than I expected, a lot closer to the comic art than I thought she would be. :)
Preorders for this pair can't go up quick enough!
Windblade looks wicked & Jetfire having the option of a G1 or Animated reminiscent headsculpt, is friggin' awesome! :D:cool:
This ^
EDIT:
Are you serious?!?!?

Considering that it typically takes a year to conceive a Transformer toy, I suspect that the IDW artists would have had access to images (or even early samples) of the toy and based their design off that. The same thing happened with Classics Jetfire -- we saw him appearing in the IDW comics before the toy was released, but in reality the comic model was still based on the toy design.
Windblade looks awesome. That looks like a fairly complex paint job on her face though. I just hope this won't affect the paint apps on the rest of the toy

Nightbeat is a remold/recolor of Goldfire
Kreo Dinobit combiner - Grimstone
I was originally excited about the Jetfire figure, but after seeing his backkibble on TFW , I'll pass.
Sorry, I can live with the fake cockpit, but that amount of back kibble is unacceptable on a Leader class figure.
I dunno, it's not the best transformation but it's not a deal-breaker for me. I'm finding it more difficult to reconcile the randomly shiny red components.
The shiny red plastic makes me think of a Japanese United release.
It's Sargent Kabuki Man NYPD! :p

On the up side, i am sure a customiser will come up with a way to use that cockpit as the robot chest.
I agree (and i think the outside of the forearms sans-armour are hollow too so the armour isn't that optional). Surely a Takara version will have better paint.
Jetfire's collarbone region also appears to be a void - are there any good pics of robot Jetfire from above looking down?
It is hard to tell, but Seibertron does have some images that show a bit of it. And they do look quite hollow. Still, to just own a white Jetfire, I'm happy :D

I normally don't mind faking a few things, but having a fake cockpit on the chest that looks nothing at all like the jet mode cockpit is just weird. Even the colours don't match. I know it's a homage to the toy and the cartoon version, but it still looks wrong. Why can't they just pick a direction to go with Jetfire and stick with it.
I don't mind Wingblade, at least she seems to transform more cleverly than Jetfire.
I would love that, shame they couldn't make something like Planet X Genesis. I was quite happy with Metroplex though, even though his quite different. Still came out alright. I don't own any form of Scorponok at all though, so he would be a fantastic figure to see made in the current day and age. Providing they still kept it somewhat close to the original design.
MP Soundwave as a key product for 2014?
I boggles the mind how they can confuse a T-Rex with a blue robot
That thought did cross my mind, but I assumed that they would have something simple like box art finalized before the design & manufacture of two new toys. It's not like they got together yesterday and said "Hey guys, I've got a great idea: They've just reissued MP08, why don't we reissue Grimlock?!?!" This would've been in the pipeline for a while now. They messed it up, that's my gut feeling
So a Hasbro press release from Toyfair reconfirms that Windblade is the 30 of 30 figure. I'm guessing the store that said she is coming out in wave 4 made up her being part of the wave just like they made up the crappy photoshops of Jhiaxus and Nightbeat.
My assumption has always been that she will be in the regular deluxe wave release, then they'll release a specially packaged (maybe different paint of some sort) version as an exclusive/premium item with the number on it. The same way there's special releases of Metroplex, Shockwave etc so far.
The Hasbro display at Toyfair has her with Jhiaxus and the other regular Generations, for a regular release within the next few months.
Also, it was in the Hasbro press release, which only lists toys in the next two waves...
It might be unlikely, but this figure could still end up being in the regular retail assortment with the "30 of 30" sticker on it - just short-packed to be more "limited" than other regular Deluxe Generations. (as the press release says "limited edition" and we've seen how limited some short-packed retail figures can end up being)Quote:
TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS 30TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE Assortment
(Ages: 5 & up /Approx. Retail Price: $14.99/Available: January 2014)
The TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS DELUXE Assortment features characters and designs from throughout the 30-year history of the TRANSFORMERS brand, each including a special edition comic book from IDW Publishing featuring that character! Characters available in 2014 include RATTRAP, ARCEE, NIGHTBEAT and the “Fan Built Bot” WINDBLADE, a new character who was designed with the help of TRANSFORMERS fans around the world! Each sold separately.
But I'm wondering if there might be another one coming later in the year (so that they don't jump ahead with the "30" numbers), which would make more sense as a premium figure or even a larger scale.
But where are they going to be putting the other 19 "30th Anniversary" toys I wonder. More of them on store exclusives this year perhaps. Maybe one on the BotCon boxset even?
She does look good, the one pic I've seen of her vehicle mode is interesting, I can't wait to see it in person. somewhere.
totally agree, I didn't love the previous classics jetfire, but it was OK, I too would prefer a leader/titan class Omega/scorponok/Overlord or trypticon.
I can see a special paintjob fancy box Windblade being an SDCC exclusive for sure. That's where metroplex was.
