Windblade looks wicked & Jetfire having the option of a G1 or Animated reminiscent headsculpt, is friggin' awesome!

Windblade actually looks better than I expected, a lot closer to the comic art than I thought she would be.

Considering that it typically takes a year to conceive a Transformer toy, I suspect that the IDW artists would have had access to images (or even early samples) of the toy and based their design off that. The same thing happened with Classics Jetfire -- we saw him appearing in the IDW comics before the toy was released, but in reality the comic model was still based on the toy design.

Windblade looks awesome. That looks like a fairly complex paint job on her face though. I just hope this won't affect the paint apps on the rest of the toy

Sorry, I can live with the fake cockpit, but that amount of back kibble is unacceptable on a Leader class figure.

the whole plane is the backpack!! didn't even think about the transformation because was loving the robot mode but totally agree with you ... might skip this one now
