Yeah its definately gone, has been for a while now.

There is an anime store near china or in china town that does sell generation 1 toys but quite expensive but i think they are in really good condition though. but online and ebay and i usually get bargains from fellow board members who are all awesome!! this is the best forum by far!!

I was gonna say the Melbourne-based fairs would be worth checking out. You can also meet other Melbourne-based Transformer fans there and maybe do some trade/sales? Often when I go to collectors fairs I end up getting more toys by dealing with other attendees then from dealers.

Looks like ebay and online suppliers have driven retailers out of business. Can't argue with the fact that the retailers have to sell at a higher cost to maintain their overheads which we as collectors would rather not pay as we can find them cheaper online. Sad but true.......................
