Name change wasn't due to legal reasons, as the name 'Inferno' was never lost by Hasbro and used quite often. There's no doubt it was meant to be a Transmetal Inferno, but it was never officially stated why it had a name-change.

Would have been interesting redecoed in orange, and called Unicron...
