After buying Crowbar I had to get a Crankcase. He's kind of big and kind of clunky. The chest folds down and out so its actually broader than in the promo shot and in package. The let down in bot mode is the legs. Crowbar has ball and swivel joints at his hips and Crankcase is just ball jointed. His lower legs make him stand awkwardly. In fact the feet are moulded at an angle so Crankcase needs to stand with legs far apart.
Vehicle mode: He's just a black 4WD. It would've been nice if the light bars were painted all orange, they just look like a roof rack.

This is a tough one to decide on a vote...
The vehicle mode is great, and the Dlx version had enough problems to weigh up this one as a viable alternative... but the robot mode spoils it for me. The chest halves and the back panel flop around loose, it just bugs me too much to enjoy it.
Get it cheap if you can, even if it is just for the vehicle mode.
