Just bunged it in now. Hmm, PS3 has a 147mb update waiting already. I hope it doen't need to install for 20 minutes like WFC...

*edit* Well, look at that, only 11 minutes install. Plus the 6 to dl the update. Don't really feel like playing it right now. Oh well

hmmm that ain't a great start is it.

I've not been on my xbox360 for a while, but I wanna look for a demo cause reports are that the game is fun, but doesn't last very long.

Its very much just a cut down version of WFC without the cool Space modes and set on Earth. The Stealth force modes give extra movement, firepower and armour. I haven't bothered with the robot mode much in battle, even in tight spaces (where SF mode is apparently limited) as you can just blast away with the big guns.

Nice character models I have to say. Graphics are nice, but the detail update flicks in all the time, even if you just turn around on the spot. I think the game's biggest flaws are all due to lack of development time.

It's an average game. Not really bad, but not realy good either.

For those of you who have played it (specificly the ps3 version) what characters are in it, and what characters are playable?

UP to level 3 and have to say that I am quite enjoying it. Each level you are stcuk with a particular character, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Mirage are the ones I have used so far.

Aside from Bumblebee's level (being an 'average' skilled jack of all trades) the levels are made to suite the character.

Ironhide's level has you taking on heaps of 'cons and letting rip with his impressive aresenal (which I enjoyed the most to be honest. Some of his weapons... ) and Mirage's level focusses on using his stealth mode and snaeking through the level. So it is designed quite well, just limited by development methinks.

Hmmmm, Just went to take it online for some MP action, and discovered that the 'DOTM servers were down.' That sounded familiar...

A log out of the PSN and back in again, lo and behold it worked. *sigh* Don't tell me I have to put up with that crap again...

The MP bot characterisation is just the same as WFC as well.. Choose a chassis and then select 2 boring colours. Sad face. Hopefully they change this to allow for more customisation in WFC2. you can make Megatron nice and PINK though

How much would you say this is worth?

    Full price?
    $50?
    Bargain Bin?
    Rental?

(feel free to throw in your own scale)
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

$20 in the bargain bin. Waaaay too short and repetitive single player. No real storyline either, doesn't compliment the movie in any meaningful way, besides showing how Shockwave broke out of ice jail so he could go do sweet F-A at Chernobyl and Chicago.

The 'Straosphere' and 'Warpath' battles in particular were quite poor.

I actually enjoyed the ROTF game a lot more than this.

All up it felt like an amatuer mod of WFC that got knocked up over a few weekends, really hope these guys can make WFC2 as good as the first, it'd be a shame if it turned out to be a fluke
