I would only buy this as Im a SS fan. Looks kinda cool with the silver and the clear.

The clear and silver does look quite nice. The scan series look great in vehicle mode but really odd when transformed. That's just my opinion, at least. I bought the scan series Ironhide the other day but I don't have it yet since it was an eBay purchase.

As a fan of the occasional transparent Transformers (to show off the complex engineering that is otherwise hidden), I love these TF3 Scanning toys (the 4 Deluxes and the 2 Legends). Not only does it use transparent plastic, but it uses it for a reason... unlike previous toys that were just transparent for no reason.
And the amount of paint on some of these amaze me... as it's an expensive 'optional' component. (optional, in that hasbro could release toys without paint apps if they really wanted, and can only afford a limited number on each toy as it is)
