Default Transformers Henkei Powerglide, Silverbolt, and Onslaught Announced!!!

    Deary me

    http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-...colors-164979/

henkei love right there with my favourite tf powerglide, so much love!

my offical stance is that i only collect one unique mold of a transformer, i am not even bothering getting classics prowl or sunstreaker when their henkei versions are released at the same time, so i will do the same for their figures. Henkeis are roughly the same price as Hasbro's but Takara seems to have more respect to the fans and what they want in a toy...

    bread's thought
The changes are purely cosmetic so there are no changes to the toy's mold

Powerglide - the new red paint job blows me away, just for the fact it represents the red barron that was G1 powerglide.
great chrome application on the torso and middle area of the body and on the mouth piece
This eats up the hasbro figure as their is chrome on the turbines and inside the air intake thingys , i also suspect that missle launcher mounted on either sides of the wing will get a chrome app.it seriously makes the Hasbro one look like dull cheap white plastic....
i cannot tell if the the text ,numbers and symbols have been replaced.

Onslaught -The changes are not apparent, from comparing the Hasbro images the metallic parts actually do look reasonable. If anything i think the henkei version paintjob will have a darker shade of green.
and come one takara chrome doesnt even compare to hasbro metallic finishings...

Silverbolt - While the Hasbro figure does actually look good with it metallic looking finishes, the henkei figures approach it with "more is less", a bold red paint scheme rather than the maroon finish with orange.(maybe two tone red) I suspect chrome tailfins on the shoulders will replace the dark gray. Also the face is more cartoon accurate.

Can't wait for better photos - the Powerglide looks early to me; the red looks like it's got blotches in places and one of his knees isn't silver. I hope this mould turns out good, i'm having a hard time imagining Powerglide as such a big toy though!

Sweet! Hasbro are their own worst enemy. I say this because they have a hugely popular franchise, and they don't even paint their figures in the colours they were advertised in. (i.e. Cartoons). I wonder how much money they spent on developing Powerglides colours. They could have saved themselves time and cash by doing it right the first time! Eg. Astrotrain, Megatron.

    Sidetrack-
Ult Bumblebee's box picture has him represented in a resplendant gold with detail in the limbs picked out in metallics. The figure in the box is bland, flat yellow, with grey cast plastic. MP Scream G1 is beautifull in promo pictures, but he's fluro, and dirty, and drab. *sigh*

Heh, Red Powerglide is now desireable. Hopefully they do well with Octane as well... Yes, I said 'Octane' :P

I dunno, I'm not as excited by the news. Not b/c I don't want these figs just that it was really expected anyway. I'm a bit sad about the stupid Hasbro USA versions though. That'll mean we won't get the tech spec cards I love so much. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I'll be chasing these down for sure.

I can't say I like the Powerglide mould - so I still won't get this version - but it looks about 47,882,561 times better in red (:

    Eagerly waiting for Masterpiece Meister
