Default New TakTom image of upcoming Prime-y goodness

Teensy-tiny pic of upcoming Takara Prime toys.
New weapon-y minicons, Breakdown mold prototype, and Airachnid.

Oh budget, why you make me gotta hurt you baby?

On a semi-related note, I'm really liking the way Hasbro is continuing with the clever remolds. Bumblebee into Hot Shot is pretty well thought out.

Targetmasters seem to be a big thing since PCCs...
And Airachnid as a helicopter instead of a spider. (I guess we could still end up getting both - they've done 2 Dlx Cliffjumpers and he appeared less than she did).

Airachnid doesn't turn into a Spider though?

Nope. Never did in the show just a half robot half drill with the legs sticking out of her back and then she scanned a helicopter.

Name was always a giveaway of what she would eventually turn into.

Glad they finally gave her a true alt form in her last appearance for the season. Her half baked spider leg mode was getting droll.

I'm not really interested in this line, but how they turn the long spider legs into helicopter blades could be interesting.

She does... it's just not an Earth-accurate spider. More Cybertronian I guess.
Right on the 8 minute mark of the 12th Episode (Predatory), she jumps up and does a transformation sequence into that image linked above. And you can see that her robot legs are gone, and she has a spider abdomen hanging at the back... plus the spider legs are extended and spaced out. The confusing thing about that mode is seeing the robot head and arms (which would be in place of the 7th & 8th legs) - but would make for an easy toy to produce (as the robot legs would just combine to form the spider abdomen, and the spider legs would just be moved around).

And even if she didn't transform on the cartoon before taking on the helicopter mode, I think it would be assumed that her pre-Prime mode was a spider, based on her name, her spider aesthetic (legs and fangs), and her ability to fire spider webs.

Either way, it would warrant two different Airacnid toys, if Hasbro pads out the line with more toys of the main characters... as opposed to mere redecos that don't even reflect colour schemes on the cartoon (like we had with Animated toys).

Ehh, she has a robot mode with Spider-y features but I wouldn't say she transformed into a spider. BUT we didn't see her turn into anything else before scanning the Helicopter so maybe that was her alt-mode after all. It'd make kind of a lame toy though.

A couple of Japanese retail stores have got pre orders up for mainline Transformers Prime and its good to see that prices for the deluxes have fallen. From 2600 and 2800 Yen with Movie, United and First Edition back down to 2000 Yen, which is what Henkei cost.

    *checks calendar*

So it IS 2012 like I thought, so what's with the circa 1994 e-mail attachment pic? I don't get when people get a hold of juicy TF pics or figures and post horrendous quality proof. Is it just a piss take?
