"Sorry, folks. I did something dumb and have managed to completely wreck the site. Don't worry, all your collection data and the photos and information you've submitted are safe. I'm going to take this opportunity to do the server upgrade I've been putting off for weeks now, so when we come back we'll be on a more powerful machine, which will hopefully mean fewer 'database overloaded' messages. That's not very nice.
It may be confusing if both day and month are 12 or less, but this date could be worked out... and it isn't a requirement in the rules to post in any set format (dates or measurements).
If you want to help, let them know about the different date format here (most Americans don't even know), and say it nicely.
