Well, since nobody answered and the price tag on a Takara Tomy Vehicon Legion is cheaper than a Hasbro's based on retail price... I just bought it and compared them myself. Overall... besides packaging, both figures look the same in terms of paintjobs on the figure as well as weapon colour and shape.

The Hasbro and Takara markings are the same on the inner shell of the figure's body but for the individual product marking...there is a different code.
Anyways, those looking for more Legion Vehicons to build your army... you may want to consider these Takara ones (though they may be selling more pricey on ebay)
