An enjoyable episode. The scene where the Autobots are playing grid iron with the Spark Extractor and trying to dodge the stasis beam was intense.
Something that bugs me, and I gotta say, Michael Bay did it better in this regard... why are human authorities just sitting on their laurels with an alien threat on their doorstep? When Jack suggested that they should try to board the Decepticon ship, surely the logical conclusion would be for Fowler to contact the Pentagon, then they could organise a tactical strike team to rendezvous with Fowler and then groundbridge Fowler and that spec ops team aboard the Deceps' ship. And when Fowler saw that the ship was heading toward Manhattan, why didn't he call his superiors? They could mobilise the air force and try to shoot the blasted ship out of the sky before it reaches Manhattan and threatens to kill millions of civilians. There may even be a naval vessel nearby with an experimental rail gun aboard... that'd be awfully convenient.
Interesting to see Bob Skir return to writing Transformers considering the incredible controversy his previous TF works caused; although it wasn't entirely his doing... but sadly he managed to cop almost all of the blame and hate from the fandom. Even death threats were directed toward him.![]()
