    Default UK TF Forums

    Hi All,

just wondering if anyone could recommend a TF forum in the UK?
    I've found:

    http://tmukhub.proboards.com/index.cgi

    http://www.thetransformers.net/forum/

but not sure which community is favorable in terms of meet up/ trades/ discussions and overall friendliness.

if anyone has any exposure to any please let me know.

    regards
    Kris

Hey Kris - where are you at the moment? I'm in London and although I haven't found a UK board I'd rather post on than here (naturally), this one is quite good: http://www.fullmetalhero.com/t86-114/ That's the sightings thread, which you may or may not find useful. I've signed up to the site, but they haven't yet activated my account, but when they do I will start posting (or at least post in the 'introductions' thread.)

Hey Kristofferer - I'm still here for the next week or so, but then I'm going to be moving north to near Leeds. Are you here now/going to be in London this Saturday the 5th? If so I can show you around all the geek shops and we can meet Simon Furman, Stephen Baskerville and Andy Wildman on Sat at midday.

The Tfarchive.com forums are practically a UK forum.

i like the TFarchive website. i wasnt aware it was a forum - might look into that

Full Metal Hero has been very good thus far.
I'm having problems locating the Geeky stores tho.

Be aware that TFarchive forums can be very clique-y and somewhat less than friendly is all.
Good site, but wear your asbestos undies for the forums.

TFArchive was one site I would use a lot until 2009, which was when they stopped maintaining checklists (so much movie stuff musta been too much for them).
They still have a great mis-transformed page though.

K - I'm now up north, but start with Forbidden Planet, Orbit and Gosh, all of which are a short walk away from each other. They're all great shops - FP is well-stocked with modern Transformers (Prime, Bot Shots etc.) and Orbit has lots of vintage ones, including Japanese and Euro exclusives. (Gosh is really only good if you're looking for comics.) If you catch the tube to Leicester Square or Tottenham Court Road (or anywhere nearby) you should be able to find them all. Good luck!
