Just wanted to say that this was very disappointing, even with buying it cheap from America. It doesn't come with any figures of its own, making it pretty much useless if you don't yet have any Cyberverse toys. It also only has 3 electronic effects (the Rescue Bots playsets have more), and the transformation is just "sit down, fold out feet".
Nicely detailed, and great (exosuit) concept, but without a convertable figure to go with it, it just isn't going to be worth the $60-80 I'd expect Hasbro here will force the retailers to sell it at.

Is there an explanation as to who Optimus Maximus is? Is it Optimus Prime with a battle suit upgrade, different character altogether?

It may well be something in the cartoon eventually, or it could just be a toy-only gimmick... the packaging "bio" is very vague.
It's not sentient, so it isn't a character. It is just an exosuit for the Cmdr class Optimus toy to sit in the chest cavity, with a helmet that flips over the top of the robot head.
The rest of the toy has other cavities for other Legions & Cmdrs to sit in, in both modes.

I think this is the most silliest toy of the decade!

I cant see this as anything but a modern version of the Machine Men power suits.

The real question is can BW Quickstrike fit in this? It's not perfect but it might make it appealing for Beast Wars cast collectors.

That's what it was reminding me of.... I was trying to recall where this concept had been used before in a cartoon.

Wow man... can't wait to skip this.

If I want an Optimus Prime transformable vehicle playset for smaller Transformers, I'll go play with Star Convoy.
