This topic has all the tips/guides, which includes the one I used to track down the Audiologs.

I'm not the biggest fan of shooters (other than half-life/counterstrike) but I have found this game to be very enjoyable. I have only played the first three missions so far and found 3/4 of those audiologs and blueprints, but it's already more fun than I found WFC.

I think I finally have a TF game that is more fun to play than the Armada based PS2 game. Very different games, but both fun.

Visually it is stunning and the controls are responsive, which for an awful shooter like me is ideal.

About halfway through the game. Definitely better than WFC as the gameplay has been improved with a combination of level design and more useful weapons/abilities both in robot and alt-mode. Basically, transforming back and forth is now a rewarding and intuitive experience, especially for the non-sportscar alt modes.

    A few comments
    • Riot cannon is the cheatiest weapon in the game. I also found a lot the 'light' weapons to be completely useless in combat and using them serves only to punish the wielder. Glad to see the return of the throwback blaster though :P Most of the heavy weapons are a joy to use though, even if they are not practical.
    • The only 'clever' part of the AI is that they now seek cover and the shotgun guys rush you. I would like to see AI whereby the enemy transformers also switch between robot and alt modes to fight you. Those slow flying spider snipers do not count as a good enemy
    • Although the game pretty much still is 'kill all enemies, proceed to next checkpoint' it feels a lot less cloistered and scripted than WFC. The increased amount of in game dialogue helps keep the atmosphere. I'd like to see more open gameplay in future games.
    • Having to pull the levers all the time is irritating and only makes sense in levels where you can clear the checkpoint without killing all enemies.
    • I swear I did the escort the bomb section of the Cliffjumper level about 2 dozen times as I had some pretty bad weapons on me at the time. Finally figured that I could actually afford to cloak and execute just about every enemy before the bomb blew.

So I borrowed this off a mate.

It's passable. Linear third person shooter is about the most tired video game genre so that doesn't really help it. You run, you jump, left trigger for over the shoulder aim... there's nothing really new here. The battlegrounds aren't big enough geographically and conflicts aren't large scale enough for the transformation to be anything more meaningful than a gimmick.

The first level is fairly good but it's mostly downhill from there.

As an aside the new Optimus Prime design is hideous - it's far too bulky and it's not helped by the running animation, which when combined with the really boxy legs and torso looks really stupid.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

I finished this game in three nights after work and I am a little disappointed at the length of the actual game, I am not really set up for the other types of game play either so i make doo with playing it through again and again....

Finished the game just now. The Autobot-Decepticon level is AMAZING and is one of the most spectacular gaming experiences I've had in recent memory. I have to say, the level of fan-love infused into this game by the developers have really made this something special.

Overall although I enjoyed this game a lot I feel that it would only really be of value to a long-term transformers fan. The average gameplay and short length of the campaign probably isn't worth spending your money on if you are a regular customer. I haven't explored multiplayer but I don't expect anthing spectacular.

Also us PC gamers get royally screwed on the credits sequence! The Xbox one is way better as is a MUST WATCH for anyone who used to watch fresh prince.
